London is my home but I tend to spend the months of late winter/early spring overseas, usually in Australia, where I have been researching for a book I've been writing about my family history. That is now published and I'm about to start work on the next section of it, hence the travelling.
As well as writing I teach and lecture on theatre in the winter and summer months in London, and I also organise theatre tours for overseas visitors.
Airbnb has made letting for short(ish) periods so much easier. When I'm in London I let my spare room from time to time, it's nice to have the company and to meet interesting people, and as a tour guide I'm in a good position to offer advice about where to go in this great city of ours!
