The secluded guest house is great! It's like a little cottage in the woods, and was perfect for our one month stay! John was a fantastic host including giving great suggestions, communicating well, and responding quickly to things. I would definitely recommend staying there!
The guest house was secluded and beautiful, and John was a wonderful, welcoming host. We'd definitely stay here again!
Great last minute stay in the redwoods. John set us up with everything we could need and was so kind and helpful. Great stay!
Johns cottage was so cute!!! We had to leave mid-stay and didn't get to enjoy it as much as we had hoped but it was nice and quiet and private! The deck was so nice to enjoy the morning coffee! John had lots of books describing the area with lots of fun factoids! We would go back if we weren't now living in the area! Highly recommendable!!!
THE MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE\PEOPLE!!
My Wife, Dog and I stayed in the guest house for a month to escape the cold winter in Minnesota. John and Laura were so friendly and helpful from beginning to end. The guest house was clean, nicely furnished, and it made you feel like you were in the middle of the woods. Lots of privacy! Wonderful area! A truly wonderful experience! Book today!
We really enjoyed staying in John's guest house. It was a nice disconnect from city life. Would for sure stay there again!
My boyfriend and I had a great time at John's guesthouse! It was very private and relaxing. We met John when we arrived, and he showed us the cabin, hot tub, hiking trails and gave us a recommendation for a winery to visit. He and his family were gone the rest of the time, so we had the place to ourselves for the night. The guesthouse is fairly secluded, so even if they were home we could have easily kept to ourselves in the cabin and on the deck. The winery we visited (Loma Prieta) was excellent and I highly recommend visiting it! The short hike to the old railroad tunnel was also very cool. I will definitely be back!
John's place is truly a peaceful oasis in the redwoods. Beautiful, clean and cozy little guest house tucked away with wonderful privacy but still easy access to highway 17 and the summit store. John was a great host - knew just the right balance between making sure we had an enjoyable stay and respecting our privacy. Highly recommend!
John was an warm and hospitable host, with a great space. He was extremely flexible and very accommodating. He was in constant communication to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. The space is quiet and peaceful, with a very inviting hot tub. I would book again in a heartbeat!
We really enjoyed our stay at John’s guest house. Perfect place if you’re looking for a private, quiet retreat in the woods. It was a pleasant surprise to find a new queen size bed instead of the trundle, making our stay that much more comfortable. John was a fantastic host, available to answer all our questions and ready with suggestions of where to eat and the best hikes in the area. Be sure to bring a bottle of wine to sip on the back deck out looking the redwood forest and some hiking shoes to check out the abandoned train tunnel by the creek!
John and his guests were cordial and pleasant.
John was reliable and communicated clearly and thus we were able to easily smooth out the wrinkles in our arrangement together. He and his fellow travelers would be most welcome in our home again!
John is a friendly guest. eaxy to communicate as well. welcome to stay at my apt again
