Eva was easy to communicate with in making the arrangements for the stay, and flexible about the check in time which was very helpful. The apartment is well located in central The Hague, the furnishings are not luxurious but perfectly comfortable, and pleasant looking, and as she promised the bedrooms are quiet. We enjoyed the bottle of Cava and Dutch waffles she left for us. Having Netflix was great, as we could catch up on some of the TV series we watch as we chilled some evenings. The apartment felt a little bit "lived in", meaning there were other people's food and cosmetics in the fridge, and clothes in the cupboard (I guess Eva's) , which is not a problem as long as you're not expecting a totally dedicated rental. As we were there for a week it didn't inconvenience us, but it's just a question of expectations. The only real negatives were that 1) there was a leak in the bathroom sink which meant we had to keep emptying the bucket underneath it into the bath and 2) the hot water stopped working for 24 hours meaning no showers. The first was a minor inconvenience, though I guess it would have been a basic thing to fix with some simple plumbing rather than leaving it like that all week. The second was more of an inconvenience of course, so although it was not Eva's fault and the hot water did get fixed, were it my apartment I would have made a small gesture to the guests to make up for the problem. Fortunately, in our case, we chose this apartment as it was close by our sister's apartment who lives in The Hague, so we could at least go to her place to shower, otherwise it would have been unpleasant.
Nonetheless, despite these two items, we enjoyed the stay, and would recommend the apartment, if you want somewhere convenient, bright, and quiet in The Hague, on the assumption that the plumbing issues were just bad luck and unlikely to happen again. We would have given 3 and a half stars, because of the way the plumbing issues were handled, but can't give half stars, so we gave 4 anyway.
Many thanks to Eva, this apartment was amazing! I highly recommend this accommodation if you are visiting The Hague. It has a lovely warm feeling, with a great view. It is in the best location, being just minutes to the centre, and the apartment is a beautiful and safe place to stay.
Eva was so helpful throughout our entire trip, firstly giving us great advice before we travelled over, as well as recommending many great restaurants, places to visit, and the sights to see whilst we were staying in The Hague. We were kindly allowed to arrive earlier than usual due to our long flight from Australia, and were warmly greeted and shown around the apartment. Eva even left us maps for the city, general information such as the closest supermarkets, how we go about booking trains/trams/bikes, as well as leaving beverages in the fridge and a little present on our arrival - very much appreciated!
Perfect place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
