In the neabourhood i wanted to be, close to everything. The room was not fresh, actually there was mouse shit on the blanket and some human hair. I was sleeping there only one night and just throwed blanket on the floor and went into my backpacker sleeping bag. no towels or sheets. would never stay there again even if the guys at reseption was really friendly and helpful
Location is central, close to everything. Unfortunately this is the only good point.
For the rest, room is tiny, noisy and really smelly, with bad linen full of cigarettes burns. There is no daily cleaning service of the room as it’s written on the announce. Not even for the shared bathrooms, always dirty and wet, with accordion doors that don’t even lock properly.
About the host Abbas. I asked ahead of time to cancel the booking for the last night and he tried all the ways to not refund me. At the end I had to involve Airbnb to get the money back.
This is definitely a place I do not recommended.
Hm...how should I paint this experience in the most neutral-negative light possible? The host never responded to my text/emails, then I had to call and they werent too pleasant. It's a seedy "motel" on the street. Walls are less than paper thin, so you can hear everything, especially the street. I suggest noise cancelling earphones, works well. Room is not too clean, sheets looked like they haven't been washed in ages, with cigarette burn holes in them. I had to put tshirt over the pillow to make sure I don't sleep on dirty pillow.
Also, walls have cracks and corner have holes, so there were some mosquitos in the room. Not too bad, but common - this is KL, not some jungle village.
Location is not bad all, on major street (plus or minus?) next to monorail (big ++), street food market etc etc. Internet is pretty fast, about 5Mbps down and 1 up. There are no towels or soap -- bring your own.
I would not recommend this at all.
The room 104 happened to be very small and without windows contrary to the photos. Mould on the walls, dust, pillows and bed smelly. Don't be fooled, the pictures seems to me made years ago, the place is in bad shape. The toilets/shower are always wet and looks dirty.
Don't waste your time there and book somewhere else.
These are some unique rooms in a great location in downtown K-L across the street from several malls, diverse restaurant options, the monorail and walking distance to KL park. I stayed in one of the huts - these are outside - so it can be noisy - yet also never far from the action. Amenities are basic, but met my needs. Staff was friendly and I'm overall quite satisfied.
It was a good place to stay at KL for one night. Cheap, clean, nothing more to expect.
Cant recommend this in any way. STAY AWAY!!
Here is a list:
- There were people smoking in the room depsite there being a no-smoking sign in foyer
- I left for a walk and came back and discovered that the lock on my door didnt work at all..so basically anyone could have grabbed my belongings if they had pushed open the door
- The walls shook whenever someone walked into their room, it felt like a cheap set up, you can hear everything in adjacent rooms so good luck sleeping
- Bed was filthy, my first mattress I almost got swallowed by and had to change room.
- I walked down the road 50m and for roughly the same price picked up a double bed room nice and clean with no noise
I think you are better off sometimes just walking in and judging a place for yourself..
Good located hostel. Little bit noisy but people were friendly.
I got problem when checkin, event when we came in early morning; then everything went smoothly an ok.
The guesthouse sit in the central of KL, convenience to travel, and cat a hopon hopoff tour; you can find many good restaurants nearby also.
Actually, the room doesn't look like the picture, the bathroom quite small. You should not expect the airbnb atmosphere here, since it more like a cheap hotel.
Overall, with this price, we cannot expect more.
The guesthouse is near by Bukit Bintang station. You can find many restaurants and shops around the house. It's nice choice to stay here.
Rizwan was a friendly guest and was really pleasant to communicate with. He was very respectful and taking a good care of the apartment. He left the unit very clean and tidy. Rizwan is also currently hosting using Airbnb (he owns 4 guest houses) and I know he's looking forward to host more guests at his places.
