Zuzanna's appartment was awsome, it is large, cosy and the neighborhood is great. The location is really practical, just a few minutes walk to the nearest train station, 20 minutes from Manhattan by train. We had a lovely stay and we would definitely come back to her place if we were to travel again in NY.
The reservation was canceled 17 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Very nice, quiet, and convenient. Steps from my favorite place in the city, McGolrick Park which was awesome. No problems whatsoever...would definitely recommend.
This is an adorable neighborhood - the place was great.
Everything was great. We don't mind the street noises during the night because we know we are not in the middle of the countryside, so just saying if you have a very very light sleep, this can be just a little bit noisy.
Zuzanna was really really easy to reach and perfect host.
Thank you !
Stayed for almost a month here. We liked the place and enjoyed our stay. The best part of the apartment is it's location. Really easy access from JFK and to Manhattan as well. The L train is just around the corner. The second best part is Zuzanna, she was always friendly and clear in her communication and helpful. Never had any problems. Unfortunately we never met her face to face, but that's the picture we got through email.
The downsides? This is not the place for you if you prefer the quiet and no stairs, you want to cook your own dinner and you are afraid of germs and bugs. If you are too picky, forget about this. The kitchen equipment is insufficient for cooking, although tea and coffee you'll manage. Bedford avenue is a large street, it is always noisy, the windows are to the street.
The apartment floor is funny, it is uneven. I mean one side of the floor is lover than the other, so in the beginning you feel funny, but you get used to it. The place almost always too warm to my liking, sometime +30 C during the night. It was this hot even when the radiators were closed. Maintenance just turned on the heating since it was November and got it wrong. The heating led to the leaking of one of the radiators which was fixed when we mentioned it to Zuzanna. And there were cockroaches. I know it's not an uncommon problem in NY, but you should know and decide for yourself.
All in all, it's a good place and I'd say perfect if you plan to stay most of the day out of the apartment and just come here to sleep and make coffee in the morning. The neighbourhood is also nice and seemed safe.
My husband and I just stayed at Zuzanna's studio for the month of August. We LOVED it and will truly miss Williamsburg.
The apt is in one of the most convenient areas - steps from the L train and tons of great restaurants and bars, and a few blocks from the waterfront. If given the chance, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Thank you, Zuzanna, for opening your lovely home to us!
Zuzanna's apartment was wonderful! It is a very spacious, large studio- I was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I stayed there for a month upon our move to New York, so we could transition and find a permanent place to live in NY, and it was the best move for us. We were never crowded- we even had friends visit for a weekend, another couple, who stayed on the futon. I would recommend it to anyone! It is right above the first subway stop into Brooklyn (on the L line), and it is super convenient to Manhattan. Williamsburg was so charming and this apartment is on THE street to be on: Bedford Ave! This is where it's all happening: cute restaurants, markets, cafes, and boutiques abound and anything and everything you need is right around the corner. There is hardly any street noise from up in her apartment, which is nice, especially when the window fan is running. We slept like a dream, and I am a light sleeper. Zuzanna was out of the country, however she was still so helpful when it came to promptly responding to my emails, or sending her housekeeper Monique over if we needed anything. Zuzanna even let us extend our stay by a few days as the apartment we moved into was not ready yet, and she had a few days in between our stay and that of her next guest. Thanks a bunch, Zuzanna! Hope to meet you in the city!
This is such a cute and cozy studio apartment. It's small, but not unlike most places in New York. In any case the decor actually makes it look quite spacious and hip. The location is perfect, just steps away from the subway. There are so many bars and restaurants in the area, it's great if you're looking to go out at nights.
All in all we had a great time. Thank you Zuzanna for giving us an amazing place to spend our vacation.
I live in the neighborhood and rented this sublet for my mother when she came to Brooklyn to visit me. My mother had a wonderful time and was very comfortable during her stay. Zuzanna was very informative and responded to our questions quickly. The location couldn't be better!
Zuzanna was a great guest!
