I am artistically inspired by the various cities and people of the world; so when I was told about airbnb, I couldn't pass it up!

Isriel was a great host. He made my family feel at home. We truly enjoyed hanging out with him and his dogs.
We had a great stay at Iriel's. The place was very clean and pretty with easy, private access and it was easy to prepare our own food here (which saved us a lot of money).
His dogs, while rambunctious, were super sweet and it was great to hang out and chat with Isriel and his roommate when they were around!
This is a great place to stay to be away from the busy, super-touristy areas of Oahu (Honolulu, Waikiki, etc.), while still being close enough to drive to them - or really to most anywhere on the west/north side of the island. I would recommend renting a car if staying here, but it really is nice to have the mobility and to be able to stay in a bit more "authentic" part of Oahu.
Isriel, the host, is very conscientious about his airbnb guests feeling accommodated and comfortable. He believes in transparency and is careful to accurately depict what you will find upon arrival. The huskies, Lyric and Indy, are sweethearts; gentle and welcoming to visitors, but not needy.
The bedroom has a ceiling fan and he provides a floor fan. The bed is comfortable. Sleeping is easy with the lack of external and internal noise. The house is at the very end of the culdesac so there is NO noise from thru-traffic.
There's a hike to the top of the mountain his home backs up to that takes an hour to the top with a spectacular view from any of several WW2 bunkers of the sea and nearby mountain ranges.
It's a twenty minute walk to a state beach that has surfing and snorkeling where you're guaranteed to see the big turtles. Of course, a lot of angel fish and many others.
The immediate neighborhood is about ten years old with homes valued at about $400,000, mostly families.
It's a ninety-minute bus ride on the "C" bus [the express bus] to Honolulu each way, so if you want to be in the night scene, you'd be smarter to find accommodations right in Waikiki or just rent a car and see the whole island while living in Isriel's rural neighborhood.
Isriel is a great host. Very respect and mindful of your privacy. We spent four nights in his home. The house itself was very artistically decorated. Our room was well sized with a decent closet. There is a private backyard next to the room which was cool. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. The beach is less than a mile away which was super cool as we could just walk to see the sunset. The dogs are friendly but you might see some dog hair here and there.
The room is super nice and his dogs are amazingly energetic!! You will have privacy you looking for coz he always work upstair and basically the first floor of the house is all your!! The area is nice and the beach is way nicer than Waikiki!!
