I'm a freelance journalist who has lived in New York for 3 years. i have a fabulous knowledge of the food, bar and theatre scene in this great city - and will be happy to pass on any local tips to future guests! I'm very relaxed and easy-going.
I'm quite shocked at this review as it is false and misleading. Anyone
reading this take note please: Fadel and his female friend and her
boyfriend checked in to my apartment where i also reside about 8pm on a
Saturday night. Earlier that day the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned.
I gave them clean towels - in fact I gave the woman a brand new white towel
from Macy's (just purchased) and explained the sheets on the bed were brand
new from Macy's that day also. They went out for the night, and Fadel woke
me at 3am to tell me they were leaving as the female guest was "freaking
out about the floorboards" and had refused to stay. I asked if she had a
phobia and he said "no'. He explained they had tried for an hour to reason
with her and calm her down but to no avail. He assured me there was no
problem with cleanliness and he thought the flat was great. He apologised
in fact for leaving and for waking me up. Fadel said he didn't want to
leave but had to as they could not let a woman go out on the streets alone.
I contacted Airbnb to alert them to what had happened in the event i would
be wrongly accused of being a bad host.
Finally, I live in the apartment so I would not be living in a filthy,
cockroach infested place. An exterminator comes on the first Saturday of
each month to spray.
