We had a really nice stay in New York in Rachaels apartment. The apartment was really quiet and still close to bars and the subway. And I loved the espressomachine! Thank you Rachael!
Rachael has a great apartment in the LES and is a terrific host. She is easy to communicate with and very helpful. Everything was well organised for us and we highly recommend her.
Rachael apartment is perfect for a New York city stay. The location is fantastic, so close to everything. Rachael was very helpful, she gave me a lot of tips, she was easy to reach and super friendly. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I visit New York.
Rachael's apartment is in a great location, and close to the subway so getting around is not an issue. She was great with communication leading up to our stay, and very flexible, making arrangements for our weekday lunchtime arrival. The apartment was very clean, and there was some really helpful information provided about the surrounding area and restaurants. I would definitely recommend Rachael and her apartment to anyone looking to get a quiet night's sleep in New York.
A great moment in New-York! I have been in Rachael's apartment for 1 week; the apartment is cosy and warm, I really enjoyed the area, location is perfect, so close to great places in Manhattan. Rachael is a very welcoming host, flexible, accessible. This apartment and this week was what i expected; what i was looking for; if i'm lucky enough to come back, the first thing i will do is to contact Racheal again; thank you Rachael. I highly recommended that place, on this site and all around me.
We had a great time staying in Rachael's flat. We arrived after an hour delay and she was there to welcome us and show us around. The flat had plenty of space and was really clean too, Rachael had even cleared a drawer for our things. The location was perfect for us, surrounded by independent bars, cafes and restaurants and within walking distance of Brooklyn Bridge. We would completely recommend staying here.
My boyfriend and I can highly recommend Rachael's apartment. It was clean, cozy and in a great neighborhood in Manhattan (lower east side) with lots of neat restaurants and shopping nearby. Rachael is super nice and great to work with! Thanks again for everything.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Rachael's place for 3 nights just ahead of hurricane Sandy. Despite the weather (obviously out of everyone's control) we LOVED our stay at her apartment.
The apartment is exactly as described - very spacious for a NYC apartment, and having a separate kitchen and living room was a huge bonus for us since my boyfriend usually naps in the evening and I don't. The bedroom was quiet and dark at night, and the bed was comfortable for us (my boyfriend is 6-4 and I am 6 feet).
The area was also fantastic - we felt like locals staying in LES. Very trendy area with tons of fun bars and restaurants to explore, and close to the subway.
Unfortunately we didn't meet Rachael herself as she was out of town, but she was incredibly helpful from the first time I contacted her. She offered suggestions of things to do, was very responsive, and her friend who met us to give us the keys was really nice and right on time. Rachael left us a note, bananas and a bottle of wine.
When we first extended our stay for one extra night due to a change in our flight because of the hurricane, and then changed our minds and decided to drive home, Rachael was also kind enough to refund us for that additional night.
I highly recommend Rachael and her apartment and would stay there again on my next visit to NYC!
Rachael was extremely flexible and helpful. She was willing to work with us in terms of times to check in and check out. She gave us very good tips about where to eat breakfast (Atlas Cafe on Clinton St.) and about parking and catching cabs.
The bed was very comfortable and the airbed filled up quickly and worked well for our third party.
The location was convenient.
I just want to reiterate how helpful and friendly Rachael was - especially given that we were only there for one night.
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Rachel´s cozy apartment, which had the perfect location in trendy LES! Rachel met us when we came, and we immediately felt this would work out fine - this being our first time on airbnb, we didn´t quite know what to expect of a private stay like this. Having tried this once with Rachel made us confident to use airbnb again - absolutely a super way to get to know a city off the worst tourist track.
The apartment was clean and surprisingly quiet to be in NYC - no noise at all in the nighttime, so we all slept very well. The apartment worked fine for us, but it is a bit tiny for 4 grown ups (we were two adults + two teenage girls) for a longer stay...the airmattress takes up most of the livingroom. However, it didn´t bother us, and the location and great atmosphere of the apartment made up for the lack of a bigger space.
Clinton street is packed with great food - right across the street from the apartment is an absolutely superb yunnan chinese reataurant where we had dinner twice.
In short - a great place with a wonderful host! Thanx Rachel!
Rachael and her friends were the perfect guests! She was easy to communicate with and pleasant to deal with. They left the apartment as clean (or cleaner) as it was when they got there. Hopefully all of my future experiences with airbnb are as seamless and pleasant as this one!
Rachel is a great host, she is very kind, clean and responsible. I am very pleased to host her in my flat and hope to stay in her apartment when I visit NY:)
I would love to host you when you visit NYC! :)
A lovely clean guest, who was respectful and intresting.
Although I have never been in this apartment, I would trust Rachael to know where the good place to live is. I have not met many people that know how to have fun like her. She's very considerate and always well dressed so there must be plenty of closet space for those nice threads in her apt. The LES is a jumping area with no lack of things to do. You wouldn't only be getting a nice pad to stay in, you'd get a great resource in Rachael being able to tell you the hot spots to go to. That's a great benefit.
It is without reservation that I recommend Rachael Clark as a roommate.
I first met Rachael as freshmen in college then later as sorority sisters, friends and roommates. As roommates in junior year Rachael was consistently courteous, helpful, neat, and respectful. The experience was so positive that Rachael and I became best friends and colleagues beyond university when she moved to New York from Indiana.
Rachael is not rowdy, irresponsible nor is she a loud tenant. In the year we lived together, she was studious and willingly shared in household upkeep and cleaning.
Besides being responsible and kind, Rachael is genuinely a fun person to have around. She has a great sense of humor, is down-to-earth and is not prone to "drama" of any kind.
I would not hesitate to share a rental with Rachael in the future.
