I am a self-employed civil rights attorney, representing workers in employment discrimination cases and other employment-related matters. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, lived in NYC for a few years after college and returned to Pittsburgh for law school and remained ever since. I live in the Lawrenceville neighborhood near downtown with my wife, Kate, a semi-retired seamstress/designer of home furnishings, and our daughter, Beatrix, who just turned 7 and is going on 18. I consider myself lucky to enjoy several strong friendships with folks I have known for nearly 30 of my 42 years, and love to meet good people. I do not have one of those accounts where people can "friend" you, though I am listed on LinkedIn. I have no problem texting, but I also still believe in using the telephone to actually speak with people. I am an avid griller, and downright giddy about my new infrared grill this season. I enjoy having an active day followed by a good meal and then finding a comfy chair, wine (or whiskey), and good conversation. My wife and I also enjoy playing Euchre with another couple, once Bea goes to bed.
