Conceived in India, born in Los Angeles, childhood in London, college in Colorado, resides in Brooklyn, NY
Spencer is a great host, communicative and helpful. We really enjoyed his little apartment especially the balcony. The apartment is as depicted in the pictures and just 2 minutes from the extremely convenient L train subway stop. Close by is are several dining options, grocery shops, wine and an ATM - the apartment has a great location. Bed is comfortable, good for two people, a little tight for more than that number. Highly recommended on all counts.
I really enjoyed my stay in Spencer's flat. The appartement was very pleasant: bright, clean, functional and situated in an exciting area.
Spencer was an attentive host.
Even if I never met Spencer in person, he was a perfect host. No doubt.
He solved a little problem with the keys in a prompt and fast way.
He left me his apartment in perfect conditions, fully equipped and perfectly consistent wit the description.
He was always in contact with me and very attentive to my contingent need.
The location is perfect, in the heart of the hood, very closed to subway stop.
Perfect host, perfect apartment, perfect location.
Definitely I highly suggest staying here.
Spencer's apartment was indeed a perfect little oasis. The L train around the corner gives you access anything you might like to try…and we packed much into our stay: a Met's game, a play, live music at Le Poisson Rouge, art at the MOMA and a trek way up to 188th in the Bronx for Italian food in the authentic Little Italy of NYC. Spencer kept in touch via email, even though he was out of the country on an amazing journey of his own. Spencer's friend, Will, was also very helpful and made some restaurant recommendations. We tried Sel de Mer and it was awesome! We highly recommend a stay here. Where else can you view the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building all lit up, from the comfort of bed?
Despite an emergency with the door lock, my stay at Spencer's apartment was pleasant. It was clean, comfortable and made for a good base to explore NYC. The apartment is a block away from the L train with connections to Manhanttan. It was easy to communicate with Spencer even though he was travelling half way around the world at the time of my stay in April.
Spencer was a great host, kind and willing to help in every possible way. Our stay was perfect!!!! Thanks Spencer!
To cut a long story short: Perfect location, nice neighborhood with numerous bars/cafes/shops, right next to the L train station. Spencer is a great host, helpful and friendly. The house had all we needed. We had a great time, can't think of anything wrong.
Spencer was an amazing host. It was my first time ever using airbnb and first time to NYC. He made the accommodations really easy to find and figure out. We even met up for a beer in Toronto before I left to exchange the keys and talk about some of the cool bars and restaurants in his area. When I got there, I found his apartment nicely kept with a beauty little balcony to sit out on. His bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The apartment is uncluttered and bright. It is also in a perfect neighbourhood for wandering and checking out bars and restaurants. It is also about 10 min from 14 st in manhattan. He recommended a few good ones. Spencer was really easy to get ahold of and made the transition very easy. I would totally recommend Spencer's place to anyone looking to go out and explore and have a nice pad to come back to. Oh and on a sidenote, I left an important charger there by accident and he sent it right back to me!
Spencer is the absolute best host. My boyfriend and I just took a vacation to NYC and had originally reserved another Airbnb space. After our other space suffered a fire (I know, completely bizarre - a complete accident as well) Spencer arranged to take us in last minute - he was even out of town! The place was clean, in a perfect location, had an L train stop on the block and communication with Spencer and his friend in the city was so easy. I highly recommend staying here!
The apartment was in the perfect location for our trip and was a nice little place to call home for 5 days. Spencer was really great to work with leading up to our arrival and checked in a couple times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, as well.
I was happy to welcome Spencer. He is very clean, easy going and polite. He took care of the room. I hope to see you again.
W loved having Spencer and his fiance stay with us. It was a short stay, but they were respectful, clean, and just great guests.
Spencer and company were nice people. They were very friendly to our staff.
It's a pleasure to host Spencer and friends!
Spenser and friends were great.
Very respectful guests; they left the house in perfect condition and were more than pleasant to talk to. You are welcome anytime :)
Spencer and Tara are the perfect guests. They took advantage of every detail in the cottage including the outdoor grill and herb garden. It turns out that Spencer is a published food writer and a terrific cook. I feel flattered that he approved of the cooking equipment and set up. On their departure, the house was left in perfect order. I look forward for a return visit.
Spencer was a fantastic guest!
Really solid communicator prior to arrival, and clean, tidy and respectful throughout his stay.
Welcome back anytime!
Spencer and his guests were really nice, they were clean and followed instructions, would have them back!
Great dudes. Very clean and respectful. Would have them back any day.
Spencer is one of my dearest friends. We've known each other about 8 years and use to work together in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. I had the pleasure of staying at his Brooklyn studio this past May. If you're looking to experience the electric mix that makes up E. Williamsburg - hipsters, vintage stores, great bars, coffee houses and endless places to eat - this is the place for you. There is a great pizza place right around the corner and a bagel joint that makes the best brekfast sanwiches. The apartment building is secure, quite, and in a safe neighborhood. In the morning there's a bit of street noise, but it's Brooklyn and if you're use to the city life, then you won't have a problem. Most people unfamiliar with NYC think Brooklyn is far away from Manhattan, but this place is 3 short subway stops on the L train to 1st Ave., and you're in Manhattan. It's great to be in Manhattan, but also experience the neighborhood/community feeling that is Brooklyn. If you're looking for a great temporary place I highly recommend this spacious studio. Brooklyn is the truth.
