I am a visual artist originally from Mexico. I lived in Montreal for 11 years, graduated from Concordia University in Film Production & Photography. I currently work for Hexagram, a research facility for contemporary artists part of Concordia University and as a freelance artist internationally.
My work has been exhibited and published both, locally and internationally (Mexico, United States, Canada and Europe). I enjoy cooking, traveling, the fine arts and good wines. I visit exhibitions around the world regularly and attend artist residencies that are relevant to my formation as an artist.
As an artist at work 24/7 I require beauty, inspiration and comfort. I live in a quiet apartment filled with light and mural paintings in a family oriented neighbourhood located in the area of Villeray, north of the island. I am 4 minutes walk from the Jarry Metro Station and 10 minutes metro-ride to downtown Montreal (metro Berri-Uqam). My neighbourhood is filled with local businesses such bakeries, flower shops, butcher shops and markets. I live 15 minutes walk from park Jarry and the Jean Talon Market, where you can find fresh fish, fruits and vegetables.
I visit Germany once a year –where my works are published and distributed internationally. I also visit Italy regularly for the Venice biennale of Contemporary Art and Architecture. I have worked in Paris as a freelance artist for SID LEE’s installation during La Nuit Blanche 2011, and enjoy very much the art scene of Zurich.
I am represented in North America by Coatcheck Gallery.
