I'm a professional musician in Brooklyn, New York. I'm originally from Canada's east coast and I'm into various racquet sports, cooking and Stanley Kubrick films.
Greg's place was just what we needed: conveniently located right around the corner from a subway station with a quick connection into Manhattan and also a great base for exploring various areas of Brooklyn. There's a pretty great hipster coffee joint and a gourmet foods shop around the corner, and Prospect Park is right across the street. We stayed a little over a week and had a fantastic time. Greg's apartment was comfortable and clean, and he was a great host - very friendly and easy to communicate with. Recommended.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Greg’s place for 9 days over Christmas. In short we were very pleased with the stay. It’s good value for your money.
It’s a great location, the best places in Brooklyn are close and Manhattan easily accessible, too. The park is wonderful for a walk or a run. Late at night the trains don’t run that often, though, so we had to wait relatively long but it was ok as we felt completely safe in the area.
The apt is what you see in the pictures: nothing fancy but totally comfortable. Greg had fresh towels for us and the bed linens were nice and clean. The kitchenette has everything you need for cooking, and the bathroom is fine, too. Just don’t expect everything to be new and shiny as it’s an old building. The windows face the yard so it’s a quiet place except for two things: during the day you can hear some variably talented musicians rehearse, and during the night if you want to keep the radiator on, it’s rather noisy. We turned it off for the night and it was still very warm.
We had a great time staying at Greg's flat in Brooklyn! It has all you need for pleasant stay, a very spacious clean room, equiped kitchen, elevator that means a lot when you carry heavy luggage. Subway station is just around the corner which is also very important and not always easy to find in NY. Neighbourhood is nice, with a beautiful park and Botanical garden just steps away. There is a very convenient and affordable market with groceries, Wholesome, just next to the subway station, also markets with all kinds of house supplies just across from it. Manhattan is minutes away by subway.
My husband and I had a great holiday and I would most certainly recommend Greg's flat as very comfortable for a single person or a couple. Thanks again Greg! :-)
We had a very good time staying at Greg's. He is a really nice host and his place is clean, comfortable (great to have A/C during summer) and well located. Good coffee place near by, huge park across the road and Prospect Park subway station around the corner with direct trains to Manhattan.
Greg's apartment was great. He was nice enough to take us last minute and communication with him was easy and quick. The apartment is very close to trains, groceries and restaurants and it is right across from Prospect Park. The apartment itself has everything one would need for a stay and is very quiet. Would gladly stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Greg's appartment. It was convenient, clean, quiet and bigger than it looks on the photos. The bed is also bigger than it looks on the pictures, and is a real double bed.
The appartment was very close to the subway, (15mins to Manhattan), as well as grocery shops and restaurants.
Communication with Greg was very easy. Would definitely stay again !
Greg's place was great. Clean, comfortable and bigger than expected. We had a great time there.
Nice, spacious apartment in nice area; very convenient for the Metro.
Greg is a super-nice host but check-in was unfortunately less than smooth. I had originally arranged a late-morning check-in but I only found out once in NYC that Greg was unexpectedly out of town and wouldn't be back until 4 pm. That eventually slipped to 6.30. I honestly believe that this was a one-off mix-up and not typical for Greg; and it wouldn't stop me from staying there again, but it would be unfair to other users not to mention it.
Our stay at Greg's place was great. The apartment had everything we needed, including a functional kitchen, high speed internet, ample space, and air conditioning to battle the summer heat. We found the location to be quite convenient. Prospect park is directly across from the building, and the Q and B trains are literally around the corner, which made it very easy to get into the city. I would definitely stay again!
Greg's parents stayed in our apartment while we were away. While we never go to meet them in person, they were lovely on the phone and even watered our plants for us! We hope to get to meet them on their next visit to NYC.
