The place was really clean, no problems at all and Emily was very nice. She walked me through the place when I first got their, and was very responsive through my time at the place. If you are considering this place, go for it! You wont regret it!
The reservation was canceled 36 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment is super cozy, clean, and everything works well.
The temperature outside was very cold when I was there, but the heating kept me nice and warm.
The water is hot and abundant.
The internet worked flawlessly.
The TV was a nice treat.
The location is really great: a few minutes from the subway and super close to Dupont Cirle but still very quiet.
The living room is big and filled with light thanks to the three windows opening on the little square in front.
The kitchen worked really well and had everything necessary. When I got there there was coffee, pasta, oil, salt, the best granola ever, milk, a couple of beers... really useful for the couple of meals I decided to cook.
Staying at Emily's place has been a real pleasure and I enjoyed the place so much that I am sure I will go back there if ever back In WDC.
Great location, cozy apartment, close to transit and restaurants!
Stayed for 6 days.
+ Very central and comfortable to commute.
+ Lively neighborhood.
+ Haven't met Emily personal, but she left a list of recommendations for places to go out, shop, etc.
+ There was an extra mattress, a stack of clean sheets and towels available. Thanks for that.
+ Apartment is spacious.
+ Quiet during night.
+ Living room has a door and can be converted into the 2nd bedroom.
- One needs to get bottled water as tap-water is not suitable for drinking.
- Hot water in shower comes after 5min.
- Electricity wiring is very old, some power sockets spark.
Emily was great! Friendly and really responsive via email and text. The apartment was a good fit for us. Location is unbeatable, and remarkably quiet, with room to host our daughter and friends. Four flights up was no big deal for us, since we also live in a tall house. Clean and uncluttered, including lots of empty closets and drawers. And Emily even thought to stock the refrigerator with coffee and cream! I would stay here again.
I was in DC for a month taking a course in one of the Johns Hopkins buildings on Massachusetts Avenue. This apartment was perfect for me. It was beautiful, clean, and quiet -- not to mention in a wonderful location. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Dupont Circle. The apartment is quite old, but, in my opinion, this was a plus. I love places that are full of character (but also fully functional) and this apartment definitely is! Also, Emily was a magnificent hostess. She made me feel welcome and always responded promptly if I had any questions. I felt right at home in this apartment and I'm already looking for excuses to go back!
First the positives:
Emily is great hostess and goes the extra mile. Very responsive and helpful.
Location is amazing with great restaurants 360 degrees. Quick walk to Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle and some neighborhood east where the Whole Foods is located. Sushi Taro at happy hour is amazing.
This is not a corporate stay, very Shabby Chic so you have to enjoy a more relaxed environment. May not be ideal for heat waves and cold spells as it's an as-is row home. Bed is comfortable but a full-size, not queen. It is a 4th floor walkup which is good exercise.
Renovations are in the works in the building so this will be awesome in the future!
I stayed at Emily's apartment over the July 4th holiday for 4 days. I am glad I chose to stay there and not in a hotel. The apartment was nice, spacious and felt like home. It is in the heart of Dupont Circle, a trendy neighborhood of DC with so many attractions within walking distance. Even though it's so centrally located, the apartment itself is very quiet.
Emily was out of town but she had a friend meet me to give me the keys. I was happy with my stay and would stay there again.
Woweee! I loved this place! The space was so enjoyable. I felt instantly at home. Was able to slip out on the roof for a sunset. Enjoyed some incredibly good Cuban coffee that was in the freezer. Beat the 100 degree weather with the air conditioning. Wandered the neighborhood, watched Back to the Future on an inflatable screen on the lawn of Dupont Circle. Watched guys play chess there too. Emily is Awesome! I feel like I've known her all my life. Seriously, our first conversation was full of raucous laughter and it only got better from there. She was there for my every need, wonderfully practical, and down to earth.
Thank You Emily!
