I wish I could have someone else describe me! I don't know what's most important to say. I like living simply, growing and cooking food, good music, human rights activism, natural health and living, and spending time with my family. I don't like television, too many different noises all at once, commercialism, huge corporations, or artificial fragrances, colors, flavors or people. Lover of all of humanity, and fascinated by the immensity of the universes. I am fair, open-minded, sensitive and introverted. More of a listener than a talker. I like going to new places and trying new things. I love spicy foods. I hardly ever drink, but if I do I prefer red wine.
Ever since I discovered Airbnb, it's definitely become my preferred way to make travel accommodations. I'd rather interact with a person who cares about the space I'll be staying in, than to have a dozen levels of people between me and my "hosts", who likely only care about things that don't matter at all. When I visit somewhere new, I like to know how the people there actually live. I don't want see the chain restaurants or the tourist attractions, as much as I want to visit the grocery stores and markets and the neighborhood playground or town square.
I have not been an Airbnb host, because when we leave home, our pets stay here and, and when we ARE home, there's just not enough space or quiet for more people. I could never get rid of enough pet hair to have a paying guest.
As far as I know, we are good guests. Always mindful of our impact on a space and respectful of the trust required for the interaction. Appreciative of the opportunity for the experience, and interested in making Airbnb successful going forward. Always grateful for having been there.
