Mina is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure talking with her and being greeted by her.
The place is a bit difficult to find and when I arrived I didn't know which floor to go to. This is a simple error but needs to be addressed in the email sent once one has made a reservation.
My room was clean, but had a couple of issues that I hope they will fix ASAP.
Mina is a very sweet host! She gave me a map and lots of suggestions on places to visit. The Wifi works pretty well too. The room and breakfast is pretty basic but I had a good stay. The apartment is right by the train station -- it's not the most charming neighborhood in Rome but very convenient for getting around. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for something simple and easy to get to.
First of all let me say this listing is in a ghetto. There is no other word for it, yes there might be 'nice restaurants only 2 blocks away' but that doesn't change that you have to walk past people eating food out of garbage bags, grafitti all over the place and weird people hanging out in front of kebab shops or sleeping rough.
If you want to be in Rome and see the great scenery rome has to offer with its small italian streets and romantic views, then you are in the wrong place. If you want to be in the ghetto. Well done, you are here.
Yes I may concede Mina is nice. Yes I can concede her listing fulfill the contract, barely.
Hosting is not just about barely fulfilling the contract. Let me get into the details:
'In-Room Breakfast'??? This is NOT a bed and Breakfast. What a joke. It's bruised apples and a few stodgy muffins probably bought from the stores in the same street as where this place is located and believe me, best to avoid all the stores.
Internet: yes there was internet at the property, how to access it however, not sure as 1. There weren't any clear instructions 2. Nor when I arrived in the evenings was there anyone to ask.
Air Conditioning: Yes there was an A/C unit. However no means of operating it, since the remote wasn't available. It was 27 degrees, and since there is ALOT of traffic, sleeping with the window open invites all the sounds of the city as well as the pungent sewer smell.
Smells: Not sure if it was the sewers, most times it must have been chinese food wafting around (if you are into chinese food, then you won't mind your room and everything else smelling of it then)
Curtains: Didn't see the point of the curtains, they were such cheap quality, that when lying in bed, i could clearly see people on the other side and they could most probably see me as well then.
Towels: I got 2 white towels, each towel is not even big enough to fit around my waist.
Being honest, this place won't ever see me again, if you are not dodging drunk people outside, sitting and drinking in the street and braiding each others hair (it's actually a hair salon) , you get to a room that is covered by the cheapest linen, unexplainable spatter marks on the walls and a stinky environment.
The pictures are misleading, showing a tv in the rooms, believe me when you get into the room, you feel like that guy who has been cheated out of a million dollars. Even though you didn't even expected it.
I personally feel all these pictures are misleading. It's a shame that my first use of Airbnb is this. Every person now thinks they can 'host', but it is actually hurting Airbnb's credibility to have such listings on here.
Perfect location for a short stay, especially when you arrive and depart from Termini station. The room was comfi and clean! Thanks!
The place is very close to ternimi station and easy to go to the scenic spots. The owner Mina and her husband were so nice and told you everything you need to notice in Rome. Anyway, it was a wonderful trip in Rome.Thank you for having us.
The Room was completely clean and tidy. Mina has give us a good help and information about the city. The place is near to Termini station so we can get anywhere so easy, even the area was a quite messy, still it was safe place for us. We came to the room at 10 pm and it was safe.
Ons verblijf bij Mina was perfect !
Leuke gezellige kamer met badkamer, alles perfect in orde en proper.
Mina was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam .
Een aanrader voor wie een citytrip naar Rome maakt,
