A singer and pianist, I love to travel, I love the variety of other people's homes and lives, and like to share mine.
Perfect location! breakfast in the morning looking at the Canal is amazing. The neighbourhood was amazing, including great restaurants and boulangeries. It was also great to walk everywhere and don´t have to ask for a cab. We will love to repeat!
The apartment is fantastic, much better than in the pictures. The rooms are wide and the beds are very comfortable. The meeting room is huge. It's also very clean and well decorated. And all you need is in there (fridge, air hairdyer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, water heater to prepare a tea ...). You can sleep like a log because you can't hear a noise. Our guest Ian is amazing person. He help me before getting to London giving me all the help that I needed (how to get to the house from all the airports, how to get the tickets for the train, where to eat..). I do recommend this apartment. It's perfect to spend a weekend in London.

We loved staying at Ian & Sophie's apartment. The location is the best! With a wonderful view on Sacre Coeur and the canal. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants, coffee shops and hidden gems such as the Hôpital Saint-Louis (probably not a hidden gem for Parisians, but for us it was!).
Ian & Sophie were most welcoming and helpful and their apartment is very well equipped and comfortable!
7 of us stayed at Ian's flat for a weekend. We had a fab time. The flat is really well equipped, homely and is very spacious (much bigger than the photos suggest).
When we arrived Ian and Sophie were very welcoming and made us feel at home. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in London.
Our stay in Paris was fantastic! The apartment is SO central, without being in the middle of all the tourists. The view is spectacular and although some people might find the apartment a bit cosy for 4 people, for our purposes it was perfect. Our twin girls slept in the living room on the pull-out couch. Ian could not have done more to make sure that our stay went off without a hitch.....we highly recommend the apartment to anyone passing through Paris. Thanks Ian!
We had a great time in Ian's apartment. It is cozy, well equipped and has a stunning view on the canal S.Martin and Montmartre. The neighborhood is full of cafes, restaurants and shops. There is a small supermarket next door. At the Gare de l'Est (5 minutes walking) there are several metro lines and buses. Highly recommended.
We have spent a New Year holiday week in Paris at Ian's appartment. It was very wonderful time. We'd like to thank Ian for very good location of the flat: it is situated in a good and calm district, near to the metro station. Appartment is nicely equipped, there is anything you need for comfortable staying. Ian is very nice and thoughtful man.
We are advising this appartment for everyone who need to find a place to stay in Paris.
My husband and I booked this apartment for six nights over Christmas, for our first trip to Paris - and we LOVED IT. The building is beautiful, the apartment is well-sized and has everything you could possibly need and it's located in a great, walkable neighborhood that is full of yummy restaurants, boulangeries and metro stops.
Ian and Sophie were unable to meet us, but Ian arranged for his friend Gheorghe to meet us to show us how the keys worked, etc. The apartment was stocked with towels, sheets, blankets, etc - everything the listing promises. I was also happy to see tons of maps and guide books, and umbrellas, reusable shopping bags and toiletries that were also available.
The TV in the flat did not work during our visit, and Ian kindly reimbursed us part of the payment for that inconvenience (not that we would have watched too much TV anyway!)
The hardest part about this apartment was probably the fact that it is six flights of stairs up, without an elevator/lift. And after spending 10-12 hours a day on our feet walking around that was rough. BUT that would not keep me from recommending this apartment to anyone.
We loved the neighborhood that the flat is in. It was so nice to come home each night to a real Parisian neighborhood, not one flooded with tourists. It was quiet each night, and we always felt safe (day and night) walking to and from the metro stations and walking along the canal.
Overall - I would recommend this flat to anyone coming to Paris! Just remember that it does require quite a bit of walking up and down stairs (and the only reason I even mention it is because my mom would not be able to handle this due to health issues).
Thank you so much, Ian!! We had a blast and your flat helped us fall in love with Paris even more :)
Ian is a very pleasant and considerate guest. It was a pleasure to have him stay at my flat during his trip to Finland.
