Bay Area girl who loves where she lives! I take full advantage of the mountain bike trails a few minutes from my house, the kayaks on my back dock and the quick trip into SF for all the hole-in-the-wall restaurants, dance and music I need!

Accurate description and delightful retreat. We enjoyed staying on the floating home, used the kayaks daily (be aware access to kayaks requires some degree of agility!) , walking to restaurants and a slightly longer stroll into town.
We appreciated that Nicole provided all essentials (especially with our late arrival - nice not to have to run out for milk and tea!)
Nicole's houseboat was a wonderful experience! My mum, sisters, and I spent the long Christmas weekend on the boat, and we all loved it. Marcus that cat was a delight, and we loved just hanging out experiencing being on the water for a few days. A great mini-break location!
Our stay at the 2 BR houseboat in Sausalito was just perfect. It was clean and comfortable, and Nicole went out of her way to leave us with essentials in the fridg and bathroom. We loved looking at her artwork and books, and while the weather was chilly, there were heaters in both bedrooms and in the living room. It's a lovely and interesting place to walk around, close to San Francisco by car or by ferry, and a great launching place for trips up to Napa and further north. Marcus the enormous orange cat was a great addition. Definitely lord of the mansion, very friendly and funny. Would recommend this for anyone visiting the Bay Area.
I am local and booked this for friends staying over Thanksgiving.
They LOVED it. Thanks Nicole for making this magical little haven available to some of my favorite people in the world--it was truly perfect.
Nicole's houseboat was wonderful! Just as described and a great, memorable location for a break. It's an easy base for trips into San Francisco, Sausalito, Marin and more while providing a peaceful backwater vibe that makes it very relaxing.
Nicole was also able to get the property ready for us to stay on very short notice, and although she was traveling, she made sure to check in with us when we arrived and throughout our stay.
The instructions for the houseboat were much appreciated - everything was very straightforward (I do wish we had read and remembered the notes about the location of the spare key - but that was our fault not Nicole's)!
The neighbors were nice and Marcus, the cat, was an added bonus - he's very friendly and easy to look after.
Nicole's houseboat was really delightful. It's set in a very peaceful place, so it's great to come back to after a busy day of seeing the sights. Our son and his friend kayaked every day and loved it.
Nicole left food in the fridge and a generous note for us to help ourselves. It had that my home is your home feel. Also my cat is your cat! Temporarily. Marcus was a great bonus for us.
I'd highly recommend this host, although we never met Nicole,as she was away, she responded promptly to all our questions and was very helpful.
Staying in Nicole's houseboat was a unique experience, and we would have liked to stay longer. A quiet place for us to start our trip around California and to get some good nights' sleep when getting used to the time difference from Europe. The houseboat had good space for our family and it was nice to sit on the front and back patios with view of the life on the dock. Neighbors on the dock were friendly and open for a chat, kids were playing on the dock Sunday afternoon, all very idyllic. Communication with Nicole was easy and she replied quickly both before and during our stay. Location was perfect with local restaurants within walking distance and short drives to various attractions. The place was perfectly cleaned, but guests should be aware that a cat also lives there (this is already shown in the photos, but the cat jumping on the tables and on our stuff is the only reason not to give five stars for cleanliness :-)). Marcus the cat was nice and friendly and a part of our good experience here. All in all we can highly recommend Nicole's houseboat.
Nicole's houseboat is as magical as promised and more .... we stayed for 11 days and really did not want to leave. It really is very spacious and comfortable and with all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. Nicole was very concerned that our stay was going well and responded immediately when we emailed but really all we had to tell her was how much we were enjoying the experience. Every houseboat should have a cat and Marcus was great company.
An added point from someone who has been at sea on a boat on several week long sailing trips; for me it really had the experience of being on a (large and comfortable ) boat but with all the important utilities connected to the shore. Anyone who has been on long sailing trips will know what a relief that can be.
Just sit in the back porch watching the sun come up or the front porch watching the sun go down. You don't even need a watch to think about whether it is time for breakfast or dinner, Marcus will remind you.
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Nicole's houseboat. Its location was perfect for a quick trip to Tomales Bay for oysters (shuck your own) and a day at the magnificent Point Reyes seashore. We also spent time just across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, as well as, Berkeley (a lovely lunch at Chez Panisse). Nearby, in Sausalito, we ate at Fred's (try the Millionare bacon if you're a carnivore), and Le Garage, a superb French restaurant. Yum! Her neighbors on the dock were so nice and welcoming. My husband took my 4 yr old daughter on several magical kayaking trips (bring your own kid life jacket) on her kayak. We loved up her sweet and friendly fur baby, Marcus the cat. My daughters loved him! Her lovely home had everything you need to be comfortable and happy. Thank you Nicole, for making our trip extra special!
Nicole was a pleasure to have as a guest. She is very honest and clear in all our communications. She doesn't hesitate in ensuring that I know her concerns so that I am able to meet her expectations and ensure that she has a pleasant stay. She left the unit clean and in order. I look forward to welcoming Nicole again at my home :)
