I am an academic in my mid-30s living and teaching in San Francisco, CA. I mostly travel for research or to do events at other colleges.

Tosh met us as soon as the place was available and showed us in. We didn't see him again in our short visit, but were assured he was just a text away. Place was spotless and we'll kept. If you need a cozy, centrally located place look no further.
Super nice, modern apartment, mins from BART. The apartment is clean, well kept and well prepared for guests. Eric is super easy to communicate with. This is a great building in an up and coming neighborhood. I highly recommend Cafe Elmira (across the street) for breakfast. Be careful walking through the adjacent neighborhood (Tenderloin). Also there's a CVS on Market St. which comes in handy if you forgot to pack anything.
The place was great. We came in for a conference at the moscone so it was very convenient.
Eric's apartment location was fantastic! We were able to take public transportation evrrywhere and the apartment was perfect.
I rented this place because I was looking for something within walking distance to my company's offices near Union Sq, but at a reasonable cost relative to what hotels charge. The ad on AirBnB (description, photos, etc) was accurate. It's a studio with a murphy bed. The building has a gym that you can use. The host was very accommodating of my "check-in" time... I couldn't get there until early evening. I was met promptly at the door and shown the the apartment. It was very clean and neat. The only drawback is its location. Walking from Union Square means passing through some pretty sketchy spots that I didn't feel perfectly safe walking through. As for the block that this apartment is on, it was pretty noisy late into most nights of my stay, with numerous people loitering in the streets and talking pretty loudly and the regular recurrence of sirens. If those sorts of issues don't bother you, then this might not be a bad place for the money. But if you're a light sleeper, I'd pick a quieter part of town.
Apartment and building were nice and clean. Good location for public transit and good price.
Quiet. Clean. Super comfortable. Stylish. Efficient. Everything you need and want — nothing you don't. Central location. Great check in/out. Responsive.
Eric's place is a real find. Perfect for one or two people. Lots of light. Great view. When I come back to San Francisco, I am absolutely staying here. No question.
The apartment itself is great for a couple to stay in - homely, stylish & well equipped. A good shower, fast wifi and laundry room downstairs made for a comfortable stay. Eric was very helpful and made sure everything was organised for our stay. The neighbours were also very friendly.
A word of warning though - this is downtown San Francisco, and if it's your first time in SF (as it was for me) it may not be what you imagined. There are early morning police sirens, late night drunks and dirty streets. Make sure you read up on Civic Centre - it has quite a reputation.
Fantastic place to stay. Met us at the door and even let us in early which was great. Awesome apartment, everything was fantastic, would definitely stay there again!
Host was great. Apparently the neighborhood has some safety issues but I had no problem at all and felt completely safe.
Grreat guests that took good care of my apt!!!!
Eric was a model guest, a pleasure to host. He is welcome back any time, and highlight recommended.
