Hi! I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Arizona. When I was college age, I started traveling all over the world, and moving as well; I have lived in three countries. I have an adventurous spirit and love to meet people of various backgrounds and ethnicity. I thoroughly enjoyed living in Europe and am making a point to explore the US and places here I've never visited. Technology makes this world so much smaller than it seemed 20 years ago.
I have a career I'm passionate about, and started a program called Homes for Single Moms here in Arizona.
In school I studied British Literature, and have an affinity for everything British. My favorite author is Jane Austen and my favorite movies are the BBC/A&E versions of literature made into mini-series.
I love to cook, and consider myself somewhat of a Foodie. I like different ingredients and to try new things. Have you ever had pancakes with pineapple and coconut? It's fantastic! I also consider coffee comfort food and have such fond memories of sitting in coffee shops with a good book. I miss the European cafes.
My motivation and that which I am most passionate about in life, what drives me, is my kids. I am a single mom and the mother of two amazing teenagers. If I have done nothing else right in my life, I certainly did something right with them. They are smart, beautiful and contribute to the world around them. I couldn't be any more proud or any more in love with my two amazing kids.
My favorite quote, and my life motto is "It's never too late to be what you might have been." - George Eliot. For those of you who don't know who George is, she was a female author who wrote under a male pen-name when women weren't allowed to write. No only do I like that quote, but I believe in pursuing your dreams, even if it does buck the system a bit.
As for my hobbies, I'm a ballroom dancer who also teaches on occasion (mostly wedding couples and Quinceanera groups), and on any given day you can find me in a Yoga, water aerobics, or bellydancing class as well as social dancing as often as possible.
