Lovely accommodations, just as pictured. It is located between the temples and Siem Reap, so you will need transportation to either, but Chenda, the tuk tuk driver, is truly a delight. It was also so nice to relax in the beautiful pool after touring the temples. Fred is very friendly and was able to address any questions that came up. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and Lou Lou the dog was always a welcome breakfast companion. :) A great alternative to downtown Siem Reap!
Avy and here husband we very friendly. The accommodations were superb! You can tell they pay special attention to detail and we really appreciate that. The pool was a perfect oasis after a long day of tourist attractions. It might be a bit pricey but well worth it. The location is farther away from the busier areas but we had a tuktuk each day which was really convenient (ask for Genda incase you stay here). Breakfast was also top notch. All in all really happy with our stay.
We had a fabulous stay @ Villa Moringa. Totally exceeded our expectation. Having a large and private swimming pool was heavenly after a long day touring temples in the heat. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We really appreciated having a Cambodian cellphone to use. I really hope we can go back and stay at Villa Moringa again.
Beautiful condo - very peaceful. Excellent staff. Loved Cambodia and this place made it feel even more welcoming. Highly recommend.
We were met at the villa by Fred and the local couple who look after the villa. Overall stay was fantastic. The villa is good value for the money, and pretty spacious. The salt water pool is amazing and one of the best features. We enjoyed a swing and splash around every day. Gardens are well kept and the property is as shown in the pictures.
Breakfasts were nice, fruit, yoghurt, bread, crepes, eggs etc. perhaps a little filling!
Fred was also very helpful when my wife needed to go to hospital for stitches to a cut to her head (low doorway at temple site). Arrangements were always smooth and our stay was very enjoyable. I recommend the villa as a good base to explore Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom...

What can I say ... Heaven on earth sums this bungalow up, amazing location and equally amazing host!. The bungalow is situated away from the tourist trap, in the heart of real Cambodia, surrounded by real Cambodian life and its people. The property is clean and perfectly decorated as well as having everything you need.
The Tuk Tuk driver is amazing (Mr Chenda) or Dave as we nicked named him, great knowledge and helped us with a great itinerary as well as taking us to proper Cambodian restaurants.
The bungalow- perfect surrounding and an amazing pool all the amenities of a 5star hotel but to be honest far nicer. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Fred is an AMAZING HOST and left us to do our own thing , which was great as we felt so welcome. If you go to Cambodia.. You would be silly not to go and stay here!!!!
We loved our stay! We truly wish we'd stayed a week instead of four nights. We were warmly welcomed by Avy and Frederic. They had a driver, Chenda, pick us up at the airport and then met us with drinks (an amazing homemade lime juice with honey) at the bungalow. The location of their place is absolutely perfect. It's in a quiet neighborhood a short tuk tuk ride from downtown Siem Reap and the temples. The place itself is beautiful. The pool is lovely, the breakfast area cozy, and the bungalow very comfortable. The breakfast itself is tasty. Local fruit, crepes, croissants, juice, eggs, yogurt and cereal.
Frederic has many interesting insights and observations regarding Cambodia and its residents and visitors, and he patiently answered all of our questions. I am now enjoying his book on the country. He also recommended many great restaurants (we particularly enjoyed Olive).
We hired Chenda to drive us around all four days and we were pleased with how well that worked out. He was always on time and always precisely where he said he'd meet us. Example day: 1. Picked me up at 5:30 a.m. and dropped me off at Angkor Wat for a race; 2. Picked my boyfriend up at 8:00 a.m. and brought him to meet me at the finish; 3. Brought us home for breakfast and then brought us back to the temples where he drove us to several; 4. Back home so we could shower before dinner; 5. Picked us up and drove us to dinner in town; 6. Home again after waiting for us to eat. So convenient and easy!! His tuk tuk is on the slow side, but that's not a problem if you're not in a hurry or traveling a long distance. If you're going to a temple outside of the main complex area, we would recommend hiring a car and driver.
LouLou, the dog, was nice company every morning at breakfast.
As stated in other reviews, Fred and Avy were super helpful and accommodating. They arranged a car to pick us up from the airport, provided a phone to contact them and a tuk-tuk driver(Chenda, who was also great).
The house was beautiful and even nicer than the pictures suggest. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom. The pool is fantastic, there is a security guard and a fantastic maid/cook who makes great breakfasts and does an amazing job of straightening up... I left my belt out and it was rolled into a perfect circle. I left change on my dresser and when she cleaned she even stacked it neatly- in order of largest size coin to smallest! she was amazing.
Mr Chenda(tuk-tuk) was very helpful and suggested temple itinerarys and on our last day he recommended visiting a floating village(highly recommend to see a very different way of living). He was also great.
The final thing I'll say(mentioned by other reviewers as well), is the restaurant across the street is fantastic. It was authentic Cambodian (menu is not in English and the servers speak very little but they were super nice and able to suggest some dishes). The food was cheap and by far the best we had in Siem Reap. It was incredible and our biggest regret in Cambodia was not going there earlier, as we would have gone everyday knowing it was that good. Fred stopped by while we finished up (he came by before we left to make sure everything was to our liking) and was a wealth of knowledge on Cambodia and its history.
Overall the experience at his place was amazing. Highly recommend!
This accommodation was really good. The staff was very helpful, especially the tuktuk driver who was great and helped us with whatever we wanted to do and answered all our questions. The house was clean and fresh and the breakfast was very good, it was a lot and the coffee tasted good. There were also a great real Cambodian restaurant across the street.
Very nice and friendly guests. Highly recommended. 5 star guests.
