There's no way I could say enough good things about this place. Absolutely gorgeous poolside bungalow, secluded and peaceful. Fred and Avy are great people who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are very sweet and accommodating. Their driver, Chenda, is also an awesome guy and helped us have a really smooth vacation.
The place is located about halfway between downtown and the temples, away from noise and bustle. Can't recommend enough. Five hundred stars.
Perfect place for staying. The private pool is well maintain and the host only we are using it. The breakfast that they provided absolutely amazing, croissant, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, and many more. Fred also provide us a lot of information about that area which really ease us a lot. The driver that they help us to hired also very friendly, helpful with a reasonable price. For sure I will come back and book this place again if I ever visit siam reap again. ^_^
Awesome, definitely recommend this villa. Great service all around, 3 big bedrooms and two of them have 2 beds for 5 beds total. The pool is wonderful, there is a staff on hand at any hour, really (website hidden) works okay in living room and well in bedrooms. Each bedroom is ac. Breakfast free of charge is provided
We loved our stay in Fred's villa! Fantastic house with a great pool (very much needed for post-temple cool-downs). We had actually booked the bungalow, but then arrived at Siem Reap airport to discover I had booked for the wrong week!
Fred very kindly came to the rescue and gave us the villa instead, which has three bedrooms and would be perfect for a family with kids.
We loved having our breakfast prepared for us each morning.
The house was wonderfully clean, great hot and cold water, and thoughtful touches like little bottles of water.
It is also great to be in a genuine Cambodian neighbourhood, rather than stuck in the tourist traps of Siem Reap.
Great value for money, wonderful holiday. Thanks Fred!
The place is just as nice as the pictures make it out to be. The salt-water pool is the perfect place to relax after a sweltering day of exploration in Angkor. This is great for groups of friends. Some details:
- A/C is in each bedroom and the common area. It works great. If you turn on the fans in the living room, it feels like you're in a wind tunnel. This perfect when it's 95F outside.
- The maids/cooks provide a great breakfast of fruits, crepes, and bread/croissants each morning.
- Laundry service is a bit extra, but still super cheap ($3/kg).
- You can rent a tuk tuk, car, or van for the day. The tuk tuk driver lives around the corner, so he can swing by with 15-60 minutes notice.
- You are provided a Cambodian cellphone for contacting the host or tuk tuk driver.
- We were provided toiletries in each bathroom (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes).
- There's a "security" officer that watches the house all day and night. He hangs outside under an enclosure in the front of the compound. Great peace of mind when you're leaving expensive electronics and cameras in the house. (Safes are also provided.)
The only possible downside is that there is a teeny bit of noise that creeps into the property from something down the street. If you're looking for a total chill session by the pool in the evening, this might annoy you, but wasn't a problem for us.
The host is extremely helpful for providing recommendations on how to see Angkor, Siem Reap, and the nearby sites.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time at the Villa! The room itself was very clean and maintained daily as was the swimming pool. The room was well air-conditioned and the wifi connection was excellent. We can't say enough good things about the amazing daily breakfast that was included with our stay - delicious!! And breakfast is prepared at whatever time you had prearranged the day before which is great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the host (Avy) was always very accessible via messaging whenever we required!
The location was quiet and private. Although it is not within walking distance of anything this did not matter to us as we had a Tuktuk driver that essentially "comes with" the Villa for 15 US dollars per day (sometimes it was a bit more if we had him for a very long period or for long distances but you can negotiate this with the driver). Our Tuktuk driver was Mr. Chenda who was very reliable and so friendly and we always felt very safe with him! He was very knowledgable about the area and sites and provided suggestions on what we should spend our time seeing to make the best use out of our 3 short days.
The villa was amazing, just as the photos show. Not only that, Avy and his staff were really welcoming and helped us multiple times when we got lost. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend the villa as a great option if you want to relax in a quiet area for a few days. Incredibly close to Angkor Wat as well!
What a perfect private retreat! I wish we booked longer as it was amazingly relaxing. There is such attention to detail in decor and creating most ambient environment. There is a wonderfully palm fringed pool & breakfast was delightful. Thanks for being great hosts.
We had an amazing time at the Villa and so close to Angkor temples. The gardens are simply beautiful - so peaceful and relaxing and lush. The pool is amazing - so much nicer than chlorine and not even detectable that it is 'salty'. Fred was really nice and interesting guy with lots of insights into this beautiful country. Really enjoyed our stay, wish we could have stayed longer! Oh yeah- and the breakfast is absolutely EPIC!! :)
Avy and Fred were incredibly welcoming and helpful in explaining the facilities in their beautiful home. We had a great stay and our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, with lovely touches throughout the villa. It was nice to be a bit out of town, and Fred made it very easy for us to contact tuk tuk drivers to take us in and out of town, in the day and evening. The pool was great and a welcome relief after a sweaty day looking around the temples. We really couldn't have asked for more, thank you!
Very nice and friendly guests. Highly recommended. 5 star guests.
