We had a great week in this lovely house in Mill Valley. The minute you step inside (after going up quite a few steps on the long but nice stairway outside), you feel at home. Plenty of room, good beds, many bedrooms, free wifi, good kitchen - ideal house for a family with kids.
Contact with Nadine was great: relaxed and to the point.
Thanks Max nice to have met you! I love when small world connections comes into play :) You and your family were fantastic guests. Hope your trip back to NL was easy.
We had a great stay. Everything was as described. Communication both before and during our stay was responsive. The house was a really nice place to be. Quiet and peaceful. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay here even more than we anticipated, due primarily to the charm and seclusion (s-e-c-l-u-s-i-o-n!) of this house, the delightful community in which it's situated, and its convenient access to the city. Nadine and Ben communicated attentively and thoroughly, and graciously accommodated us on what became VERY short notice due to my own goofy travel arrangements - two days from initial inquiry, and I believe less than 24 hours from payment. The home accommodated six of us comfortably, plenty of hot water, full use of the kitchen, beautiful view from the dining room table of the morning fog rolling in over the hilltop on the other end of the valley, a mile or two away. We weren't able to use the washing machine, but there are a couple of very nicely maintained laundromats in town (and we did use the clothes dryer) so this was no biggie, and may in any event have been a result of our short notice. There have been some comments about the stairs from the road to the door - it's true, they are many, but there's a very sturdy handrail for any guests who may need one, and for us they just added another fun facet to the total experience.
As for the location: Ideal, if you want a convenient break from the buzz of the city. It took us about 15 minutes to the Golden Gate bridge - is there a better way to begin or end any day in SF? (We never tested rush hour traffic, and did our driving either before or after peak times.) Mill Valley is itself a great little town, with its narrow, winding streets, restaurants, playgrounds, shops, farmers market, etc., so be forewarned that you may end up spending a considerable chunk of your SF vacation wandering MV, as we did! The drive from "downtown" MV up to this house is itself memorable - begins with a gateway of massive pines lining the road, and then winds up through the cute neighborhood on a road that resembles a marble run or Chutes & Ladders. It's close to a dead quiet dead end - so quiet, that the only thing I heard at night was a dog bark, twice, at least a quarter mile away, and the loudest thing I heard during the day was when my preschooler scream to alert his sibs “Hurryyyy! Come loooook!!!!" when two deer trotted down the hillside behind the house on Saturday morning. Maybe they were following the little fox that had crept across the back deck a short while earlier.
We had a great stay in this fantastic house! Nestled in the woods, it feels private and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.
Really quaint, comfortable home. We stayed with our 4 children and nanny and it was very nice. The owner did warn me about the steps leading up to home, and we are pretty used to lots of steps as compared to our own home....but note, there are lots of them. It's just like the pictures show, very cute. The location is great...we loved Mill Valley which is close enough to SF but not too far, and the downtown area is so nice. Great family vacation!!
Excellent Stay. Nadine was really efficient and helpful in getting back to our inquiry and answering our questions. Beautiful house with 2 decks and great amenities. Would definitely stay here again
We had a wonderful stay here. The house is sunny and comfortable! A great place for a family vacation or a quiet retreat.
My friends and I rented Nadine's beautiful house in Mill Valley for a labor day weekend reunion. Nadine was easy to coordinate with and the house was lovely- great taste in interior decoration. Strategic skylights let in soft light all over the house. We really enjoyed cooking together in the well equipped kitchen (with supplies from nearby Whole Foods) and playing board games on the large wood table in the dining room. Great experience!
Very nice home in Mill Valley. Location was perfect; located close to 101 and convenient to SF, GG Bridge, ferry, and the wine country.
Great location for me, my wife, and our two daughters. Plenty of space to stretch out and get comfy. Lovely, quiet back yard for lunch and afternoon tea.
Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Questions were answered quickly and we definitely recommend this home and host!
The reservation was canceled 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Nadine and her crew were lovely guests. Great communicators and took great care of the house. We wouldn't hesitate in renting to them again
