Maria has a really beautiful historic home in the Mission. The interior is nicely updated and modern, and the bedroom I stayed in was large with a connected bath, closet space, and French doors opening to a cute deck space with table and potted plants. It was quiet at night, and the king size bed was great. I really appreciated the central heating and nice, hot shower water (in older San Francisco homes this isn't always a given, unfortunately).
I wasn't able to meet Maria, but she was very friendly and prompt in her communication through Airbnb. She had told me I probably wouldn't even see her two roommates which was correct. Whenever I could hear someone else in the house, it was late at night or early in the morning when I was in bed, so although it felt strange to be sharing a house with someone I never even saw, it didn't really bother me.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Maria!
Maria and Gabe are friendly and cool. They offer a nice room in a great neighborhood.
Maria went out of her way to accommodate our arrival and left very clear instructions for everything we would need to know for our stay. The room was very comfortable and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a beautiful place in the Mission district with wonderful hosts. I received a warm welcome from Maria, we shared some tea and a delicious meal from one of the many restaurants. Also she showed me around the neighborhood and gave me some helpful tips.
The place is a typical SF home which has been restored with a lot of attention for all the little details. The location is perfect and allowed me to discover the Mission district, it is a short walk to the Bart station - while I also walked to Market square in less than an hour.
Stayed here for 1 month back in September 2010. Amazing place with friendly, professional housemates. Extraordinarily clean and near some awesome Mexican and other great restaurants. Right on a bus stop that takes you downtown extremely easily and about a 15 minute walk from the BART.
Maria is a master traveler, rock climber, and all around fun gal! She's a joy to be around and always brings a positive perspective. Plus, she bakes red velvet cupcakes!
