I work mainly in news, and I am involved in documentary and TV projects. I have lived in NYC for 8 years, and have been in the East Village for about 5.

Matteo responded to my rental request within 20 minutes and was very responsive and helpful throughout my 6-day stay. He met me at 11pm after my flight landed to hand me the keys and keep in communication with me throughout my stay.
The place is very clean and comfortable. It's a private studio directly in the heart of the East Village. I enjoyed the restaurants in the neighborhood and how easy it was to get around the city.
Matteo was a life saver helping me book a last minute stay in a great place. His flexibility during my stay and total responsiveness means I'll recommend this place to all my friends.
Great location, in the heart of Alphabet City - 5 minutes to L, 12 minutes to 14/Union Square. Very close to everything and at the same time very much of a neighbourhood with it's own lively vibe, affordable foodie paradise, very green and in general comfortable to live/stay. Matteo is a great host - responsive, eager to share information about the neighbourhood and "going ons" around the city in general. On the day of my arrival he e-mailed me a list of nearby restaurants (I did my best to try at least some of them - they all were fantastic), services (laundry) and supermarkets ranked by from cheaper end to more expensive:))
Apartment is a studio, it has a full kitchen, bathtub in the bathroom and a functioning air-conditioner (important in summer!!!).
Decided at the last minute to go to NYC for a week. Matteo and Stefano worked to make sure I could stay at their place. The apartment location if fantastic if you want to be in the East Village. I walked everywhere. The apartment was very clean and Stefano very gracious. It is very small, but just fine for one person.
Matteo is a very nice guy and host. He quickly replied to all our e-mails and was very helpful if we needed advice. Since he was out of town at our arrival we couldn´t meet in person, but his friend Stefano was kind to give us the keys.
The studio is located in a very friendly neighbourhood with walking distance from the subway and bus. There´s also a lot of shops, restaurants and bars around.
The studio is clean, cosy and comfortable. Since the windows face the courtyard it´s quiet even during night.
This was our first experience with airbnb and it was very pleasant. We would really recommend Matteo as a host.
Nice and calm flat, friendly neighbor, really well located near a subway station, lots of nice restaurant and bars around... Everything went great during our stay !! Matteo is really welcoming and accomodating. If i ever get a chance to go back to NYC i would definitly go back to matteo's place.
very quiet and central position, very nice host. i won t need to look for another place in nyc next time. 5/5
Matteo is a great host, very laid back and friendly. He was very accomodating when I arrived later than expected. The room is just as advertised, very clean and the location can't be beat. I only used the kitchen to make coffee in the morning (essential!) but if you like to cook, everything you need is there, just clean up after yourself. I was visiting NYC for work so I appreciated the wireless internet, desk, study lamp, and plenty of space to unpack my clothing. It's a car-friendly neighborhood as long as you pay attention to parking regulations. This is perfect for the single traveler.
Matteo is a very friendly guy, always responded very fast and could always be reached if help would be needed. Because he had to leave for a short trip we saw him only once on our arrival, but he checked by phone if everything was okay and he was very flexible in departure time. So thumbs up for Matteo!
The place was perfectly located, by walking distance from the subway, in a very vivid yet cosy neighbourhood. There are a lot of fine little bars, (snack)restaurants and shops around.
We had the studio for our own, which was very comfortably. It has enough space, the kitchen has the basic, necessary supplies and there is a separate bath with toilet. The bed is from Ikea (just like mine at home) and we slept perfect. The studio only faces a courtyard with trees so it is very quiet at night.
The studio was clean, some furniture and devices were rather basic but overall, it was really perfect for us, staying 6 days in NYC and we couldn't have a better place.
So we would certainly go back.
Matteo's cosy apartment is very relaxing and homey. The room has a single bed, a desk and chair, a comfortable 2nd chair for reading, and shelving for your belongings. The living room has a TV, couch, and chair, and the kitchen has sufficient pots, enabling you to cook your meals and enjoy them at the kitchen table. Matteo is a super host, helpful, friendly, and respectful. The apartment is in a fabulous location, with bus and subway nearby and loads of restaurants a few steps away. This is a place where you can feel "at home".
Matteo was a great host, he left work early to let me in to the apartment when my flight arrived early, and was pleasant to be around when we crossed paths in the apartment. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed, and was in a great location. The bar slightly down the street had people chatting until late at night (1-2AM) outside, but the noise wasn't too bad and earplug easily took care of it. I would recommend staying with Matteo to anyone and would stay myself again.
Matteo was a wonderful guest, and I enjoyed meeting him and Alina. They were friendly and independent, and they were engaged in exploring the city. They were considerate of me and my place, and when they left, everything was neat and in good order. I recommend them to other hosts and would be happy to see them again.
