Michael was a wonderful host - he was easy to reach, available to answer all our queries before and during our stay, and personally welcomed us for a coffee and tour of the place before we committed. The studio is lovely, recently renovated (it shows!) - stylishly furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen, a flatscreen TV (with Apple TV), a great sound system, a spacious closet and a very comfortable bed. The heating kept us warm through a cold winter. The building itself is very well-located, with easy access to the subway (including the 8th Ave express lines, 15-20 minutes to the heart of Manhattan) and all the useful local amenities one might need nearby (including a large supermarket, pharmacy, coffee-shops, restaurants, gyms, and two lovely parks), with laundry available in the building. We would not hesitate to recommend Michael's flat to anyone looking for a place to stay in NYC!
Michael was a great host - very helpful and responsive to every question or request, despite the fact that we never saw him - all communications were done remotely via email or WhatsApp. I would send a question or a problem and the response was never too far away. However, the real gem of our transaction was the apartment itself - although not very big, we (a family of four) found it very clean and were extremely comfortable. Michael's apartment had everything we could possibly need or want. Where to start - the view, high above the roofs of Tel Aviv all the way to the Med sea; the powerful A/C (a must in the humid summer in the city); the great shower; the comfortable king-size bed; the well-equipped kitchen; the storage space Michael and his wife made available for our stuff in the closets; the dedicated parking space (an absolute must if you have a rental car). It was a pleasure to come back to this apartment at the end of a long day in Tel Aviv. The neighborhood is right in the center of town, with easy public transportation to wherever you would want to go. The beach is an easy 15 minute walk away. There is a green grocer and a mini-market right at the next building. Cafés, restaurants, shops, and a 24-hour convenience shop are all a few steps away. I would not hesitate to stay in Michael's apartment in the future.
MIchael and friends were wonderful guests. They were communicative and left the place in great shape. I hope they come back!
