A modern-day follower of Epicurus, whose philosophy was, "to attain a happy, tranquil life, characterized by ataraxia—peace and freedom from fear—and aponia—the absence of pain—and by living a self-sufficient life surrounded by friends." As such, I aspire to help create a world based not on endless, mindless consumerism, but one based on mutual cooperation and the pursuit of a common goal. I'm not sure quite how to accomplish this, but perhaps AirBnB is a good way to start?
Things I like:
Healthy cookin' and eatin', bicycles, tea, futbol, reading, writing, DIY anything, good public transportation, Japan/Japanese, traveling, art/design, progressive house music, etc.
When I travel, I like to travel light. And if someone is kind enough to host me, I'm thankful for whatever they have to offer and I offer what I can in return. I also prefer to stay in places where I can meet the locals, hence using AirBnB. In a lot of ways, I feel most at home when I'm traveling.
