I live a hectic city life working in the fashion industry and I love my weekend getaway home for some rest and respite and to commute with nature. I hope others will enjoy the magic of this restful paradise.
This is a gorgeous place. The grounds are extremely well kept. Lots of green, fresh lemons and geese. The house is nice and comfortable, although there is no washer, drier or microwave. Pixie is a very responsive and helpful host, who answered our questions promptly and addressed all our concerns in full. She provided clear directions and even a map. Eliseo, the property's caretaker, and his wife Graciela are really fine and helpful people. Special kudos to Oscar, their grandson, a sharp boy who helped a lot running some errands for us and fetching fresh bread from a nearby shop. When we arrived the first say we were greeted with a complimentary hot, delicious breakfast including fresh eggs from Pixie's very own free-range chickens. A highlight of our stay was Tara, the german shepherd. She was very sweet, and made really good friends with us. (I understand the dog is optional: Pixie would send Tara to another property if you don't want her to be around). There's also a nice heated pool, which we couldn't enjoy as much as we wished because of the heavy rain. The policy about heating charges after the first couple of uses was not really clearly explained to us beforehand. Although we didn't like Cuernavaca itself (filthy streets, tons of traffic), we did enjoy staying at Pixie's, which is an oasis of peace and beauty. If you want a quiet country home, away from the noise and crowd from the city, and a massive garden all for yourself, then look no further.
As a matter of fact the place is a Paradise. We had a wonderful stay and everything was perfect. Pixie´s staff treated us very very well.
Our vacation experience in Pixie's property can be described with a single word: Perfect!
We loved the house, the location, the quietness of the place, the green oversize area the house is located at and, specially the personal attention received from Pixie and her house keeper Eliseo who made our vacation stay unforgetable.
Pixie's property is well suited for families who look to escape from everyday city life to reconnect with each other. Our three little ones ranging from 4 years old to 11 months old enjoyed the house and the ample lawn to run, play, swim and rest. The enjoyed this vacation heaps.
The house is well located, 5 minutes away from Cuernavaca, close enough to a large city, far away from noise and everyday traffic. Sunny and balmy, 75F, days complemented it all
Una propiedad inmejorable!!! Una gran y magnifica experiencia. Un lugar que vale mucho la pena conocer. Los jardines y vegetacion que rodean la casa estan increibles.
Thanks for making this wonderful place available. We enjoyed meeting you and staying at Rancho Pico ... This is a wonderful special place...we definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to relax in a private oasis.
Pixie was a great host, she welcomed us personally on our late arrival... very thoughtful in every sense. As for the caretakers, they were very attentive, very nice people.
Pixie's paradise is exquisite... perhaps the most beautiful spot in Cuernavaca... one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Rancho Pico has it all... total tranquility, spacious gardens, and a hideaway from whatever! Has to be seen to be believed!
