I am a Professor of Neuroscience working at New York University. I study the parts of the brain important for long-term memory and the effects of aerobic exercise in humans. While I love teaching and doing research I also have a number of other major interests in my life. I started studying the effects of exercise on brain function because I noticed how much exercise improved my own brain function. As a result I have also trained to become an exercise instructor and teach classes at New York University (where I do research) regularly. I am also co-founder of an organization called Empowering Women in Science and we are trying to take this organization national to help increase the number of women in academia. I love to travel and explore. I lived in Bordeaux for a year in college and speak French and always love to visit your beautiful country whenever I can!
