We had a wonderful experience at this cottage last weekend. It has just the right amount of room and plenty of privacy. It was lovely and peaceful falling asleep under the beams in the cottage bedroom.
We appreciated how clean the space was, how well-appointed, and how taken-care-of we felt. The artwork was a treat, too.
We came to mostly visit Wellfleet center. We parked our car at the cottage, took our bikes off the rack, and didn't get back into the car until the end of the trip. It is a short easy ride to town, to the beach, and to the kettle ponds. Highly recommended.
My partner and I visited Brady's NESW B&B for a weekend away and greatly enjoyed our stay in his perfectly located, charming and welcoming home.
The room we booked had a large, ocean-view bay window and each morning we got to watch the sunrise. The B&B is very close to the ferry and both Oak Bluffs and Edgartown which made our entire trip very convenient.
Brady was an excellent host who was helpful in recommending restaurants to dine at and places to visit. Full of stories and a pleasure to meet, Brady himself is a large part your experience there.
I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a special experience on Martha's Vineyard.
Cheryl is a wonderful hostess. My parents stayed with her a few days while visiting Chatham. The Mermaid Cottage is picturesque and very clean and neat. We had a great time and would recommend Cheryl to anyone staying in the Chatham area.
You couldn't possibly ask for better than Tami, Bill and Lavendar Bay. Incredibly hospitable, very friendly, a beautiful property and great recommendations of the area. They went well above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Tami even picked up a birthday cake for my wife so it would be there for my wife when we arrived.
Her pastries in the morning were a prefect treat for us and everything you could ask for in terms of snacks, cutlery, etc was waiting for us in the room.
My concern on my way up was that maybe they were just good photographers and that's why the pave was made to look so pretty, but in fact, if anything could be said it's that the pictures could only begin to tell the whole story of how gorgeous it really is. Also, take time to get to know Rasky... their Siamese cat. He'll make you laugh and smile every time you see him.
Thanks for making Gabby and my stay absolutely unforgettable!
This B&B was lovely. It has a peaceful view of the water during the day, the sound of the waves at night are calming, and you can clearly see all the stars in the sky… I even saw a shooting star! The breakfast every morning by Jackie and Greg were fantastic, healthy, organic and delicious! They are also very hospitable and good people. During the day my boyfriend and I went whale watching, which was worth the price, and walked around Hyannis. We also made a day trip out to Martha's Vineyard, which was enjoyable. A great restaurant we ate at was Tomatoes Italian Grill in Sandwich. Everything is driving distance away, except the beach, so a car is necessary… My boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here, and really enjoyed the stay. THANK YOU
This apartment provided a wonderful getaway for our brief visit to the Cape. It is warm, spacious, comfortable clean and neat, and in a very peaceful setting.
The apartment is located only a mile from Nausset Beach, one of our favorite Cape beaches, and only a couple of minutes from the center of Orleans. The whole Cape is easily accessible from Orleans, so a Whale Watch from Provincetown, which we did, was only 50 minutes away, and the Falmouth Jazz Festival, at the start of the cape only a little further.
our host, Mary, was gracious and friendly, and offered just the right amount of advice. In all, a wonderful apartment in a wonderful setting.
Our host greeted us, showed us around and shared some the amazing history of Barnstable. Lavender Bay was spot on with the description and photos! Absolutely perfect in every way! Clean, nicely decorated and everything was supplied, this place lacked nothing. The fridge was even stocked with basic necessities and more. Even yummy baked goods! The garden was such a pleasure to see too! The area is beautiful and the location was perfect. We would highly recommend Lavender Bay and hope to return again soon!!!
Jackie and Gregg were very warm and friendly hosts. We enjoyed our two nights at the beautiful B&B very much! The access to the beach is super simple and we were able to go for a morning swim.
What we really liked was that it was quiet and we were able to spend some alone time, but you could also go downstairs and spend some time with the other guests. Also, the breakfast was fabulous and freshly homemade every morning. We want to thank you two for an unforgettable time and we are looking forward to hopefully coming back soon!
Our hosts Tami and Bill were wonderful! The apartment was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spacious and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of breakfast foods, baked goods and fruit. We especially loved the view of the bay and gardens. Tami and Bill were such gracious hosts that they even invited us to join them on a dinner cruise free of charge after winning the tickets from a raffle. We can't wait to stay here again!
Margaux and Hugh were very professional in dealing with our booking and extremely helpful in giving us information about the area and answering our questions. Lavender Bay B&B was perfect for us and the owners, Bill and Tammi, are truly wonderful hosts. They'd thought of everything and we felt so well looked after - even returning after dark to find the lights had been turned on for us. Lavender Bay B&B is an exceptionally comfortable apartment, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished. Comfortable bed, soft towels, peaceful & quiet surroundings. There are lovely views across the owners' gardens and from the balcony to the nearby salt marshes and Barnstable Bay. It is well placed for great walks to the seashore and into Yarmouth Port and Barnstable and there's easy access to Route 6A and Route 6 for exploring the stunning diversity of Cape Cod. We used Barnstable market during the week - an excellent independent local store.
Margaux's family were very nice people and easy to communicate with. I think they enjoyed their stay with us in Chicago and I hope to hear from them again.
