Kiwi/Brit couple from Nelson, NZ. We have a lifestyle property - sort of farm, with cattle, alpacas and olive grove. Graham also has small computer company and we have self-catering accommodation to let out. We're getting to know Oz, bit by bit!
And you, dear Parisina, don't understand the difference between antiques and modern furniture which is cheap and worn. Italy is a decrepit and antique country - we know - we lived in Padova for two years 23 years ago and nothing has changed. Things do not get repaired and electric plugs fall out of walls and are dangerous. You have a battered armchair which needs to be taken out. Old-fashioned does not mean antique. The real antiques are appreciated and taken care of, the rest is worn-out and needs replacing or taken away. A kettle would be much appreciated as it is not too much to ask to be able to make a hot drink. Violetta gave us a kettle as we asked her. (She also very kindly did some laundry for us.) We didn't ask for a kitchen when we booked as we had no intention of cooking but we do expect a kettle in the room. Thank you.
