I'm friendly and outgoing! Also a nature lover who's a little earthy & quirky. I'm a little bit of a city girl, a country girl, gardener, chef wanna be, artist of sorts, collector and hopefully a great hostess! :)

My wife and I had a great experience staying in Rita's B&B. She was warm and welcoming, and her house is very well-located and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (french toast made with her homemade rosemary bread!), and we appreciated having some homemade food after several days of restaurants on the road.
The only slight downside was that the bedroom was on the second floor of the home, where the A/C had trouble reaching. Rita provided us with a fan, which helped some, but the evening was still a bit warm as we faded off to sleep.
Overall, though, this is a great place to stay, if you are looking for a traditional B&B experience in a beautiful old home.
Hi Neal ~ thanks for letting me know about the a/c. I will really try to improve that!
Rita was a fabulous host! Her home was filled with her collection of antiques and art! Residence was within walking distance to downtown Boise and state capital! Also short drive to bogus basin. Loved her dog Malachai! House was spotless and clean! Started our day with great breakfast, including homemade bread for toast! Enjoyed different place settings each am from Rita's collection of tableware. Rita researched golf courses to play at and even had the USA World Cup on her tv when we arrived as we had asked about viewing venues! Would highly recommend staying at Sturiale House!
Rita's home is beautiful and perfectly situated for exploring Boise! Anyone visiting Boise should experience Rita's delicious breakfast and spend a night (or two) under her roof.
My son and I spent 4 wonderful nights at the Sturiale house. Rita is an incredible host and showed us nothing but joy and hospitality. Her house is beautiful and the neighborhood is right out of a movie set. The location is perfect for walking into the main part of the city and all along the way you can take in the charming houses and extremely nice people. Needless to say we had an amazing trip and look forward to returning to Boise and Rita's Sturiale house. Rita, thank you for an incredible experience. I will miss sitting and talking to you during breakfast, but I will savor the memories until we return. Bob and Andrew
We spent two nights at Sturialehouse with Rita and Jim. We immediately felt welcome and at home in Rita's beautifully decorated craftsman style home, complete with rich wood and fine architectural detail. One could spend hours, maybe days perusing through her collections. Which I plan to do on our next visit. Our room was very comfortable with lots of room to spread out. The breakfast Rita laid out for us was beautifully prepared and delicious. She is truly "The Gourmet Cook".
The neighborhood is centrally located to the university and the capital as well as downtown Boise. We were only minutes away from everything we wanted to do.
Suellen and I would highly recommend a stay at Sturialehouse Bed & Breakfast Home. We'll be back.
Staying at Rita's lovely historic home was a wonderful experience through and through. Her kindness and hospitality made us feel so welcome. The room was cozy and comfortable. We slept so well. And the breakfast the next morning was beyond compare. Overall, amazing experience!
This downtown Bed and Breakfast is walking distance to all the fun stuff~ parks, restaurants, shops and interesting sites like the Capitol ( i was surprised by how awesome it is!)
Rita and Jim are just great and made us feel like family. The authenticity and beauty of this vintage home, and Ann's lovely presentation of everything is delightful. Even if you have no children, you must see the secret little play closet...you will wish you were little again! Can't wait to come back!
A comfy room, cool antiques and art, a great host and delicious breakfast. It's hard to complain! Thanks Rita!
We found many beautiful treasures in the Sturialehouse--Rita has unbelievable taste in just about everything that is antique and the home reflects it. We missed spending much time with Rita, but Jim made up with super hospitality, great french toast (home baked bread and fresh eggs from their own chickens!) and a cooler that was a life saver. Both Rita and Jim are wonderful folks and we would love to spend lots of time with them--perhaps on our next visit. Very highly recommended.
Rita is friendly, flexible, considerate and talented. She replied to my request immediately, accommodated our late-night arrival with grace, cooked us an incredible gluten-free and breakfast from scratch, and was friendly without being overwhelming. You can't ask for a better host. Rita's spotless home is a marvel, filled with more interesting collections, items, and treasures than I've ever seen. A treat for those who love vintage decor and items with tales to tell, but perhaps not the place for big folks and/or those who enjoy sleek surfaces and minimalist rooms. -- I'm sorry we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of Rita's considerable knowledge of the area. -- Great location, too. -- Thank you, Rita!
