Decent place, with a very nice garden and lanai, located relatively close to Paia and Ho'okipa beach. Saba kindly accepted our booking on a very short notice (same day). On the downside, hot water in the shower was very spotty (we mostly showered with cold water), the fridge makes quite a loud noise at night, and the WiFi connection is weak.
Girlfriend and I stayed one week at Saba's studio and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location is perfect, nice and peaceful away from the tourists but not too far from things to do. The stars at night are an amazing view. Road to Hana is just a left turn from her place and right turn will you lead you to the town of Paia. Fish market is a must eat here! We already miss Samson and Tiva. Such cute dogs! Thanks again Saba. We would stay at your place again in the future.
Great house, plenty of room and close to cute Paia. I'd definitely stay here again!
Quiet neighborhood away from tourist areas. A good place to stay if you want to be closer to the road to Hana. Enough room for a couple. Saba left us plenty of bananas and avocados and was available if we had questions. We kept to ourselves though and enjoyed the privacy.
Saba was incredibly responsive from the initial contact through a day before check-in, and during the stay itself. I had a few questions over email and she responded very promptly. The private studio was clean, well-equipped with a kitchen and dishes, etc and even a few bottles of cold water upon our arrival. My only regret is that we didn't stay for longer on this part of the island. On a quiet street off the Hana highway, this is a wonderful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the resorts, and wonderful to wake up to the sound of the birds, nature and not much else. Plus, you're only a 15-minute walk to a beautiful secluded beach.
Very nice house, very spacious.
Sabine is very nice and easy going. Communication is very good, she answered very quickly to all our questions.
She even let us check out late.
Her animals (dogs and cat) are very cute.
Sabine’s place is great: spacious, well-kept, and attractive. Sabine herself was friendly, communicative, and the space had an overall positive vibe. We spent more time in the unit than we may have otherwise due to the island being overrun with rain, but that wasn’t a problem, since we enjoyed the space, and nearby Paia is just so darn interesting. The other side of Maui: don’t shortchange yourself. Thanks, Sabine -- Best for the years ahead!
We had a lovely time in Maui and staying at Sabine place was a breeze, great spot for us, we made use of the kitchen and barbie. We enjoyed the dogs Tiva and Samson, also I forget the very friendly cat she was lovely. We had some of Sabine produce which was lovely a must if you can. We would stay again and recommend to any couple. Kind Regards Dave & Mel
Cozy, private, peaceful, and comfortable studio right at the beginning of the road to Hana. We loved the location because it allowed us to do some things (like Twin Falls) a day prior to doing the full drive to Hana.
The studio is very thoughtfully set up and has pretty much everything one would need for a stay (including tons of towels for the beach). I also really appreciated that the amenities were quite eco-friendly.
I didn't get a chance to meet Sabine in person but she left very helpful instructions and was extremely responsive whenever we had questions, whether it was before or during our stay. I also loved meeting the friendly dogs on the property.
We had wonderful days in Maui and in the cottage! Sabine was very friendly and everything was perfect! We would recommend this cottage to everyone!
We had a fantastic 2 month stay with Sabine at her beautiful home in paradise. She gave us such a warm welcome, made sure our place felt like it was a home away from home and gave us some great insight into the island. We stayed in the fabulous 2 bedroom place that has a fabulous kitchen downstairs and great living and sleeping space upstairs. With a balcony off both sides of the house, you have a view of the water and the mountain, plus the breeze. If you want to get away to the real Maui, I'd highly recommend Sabine:) We'll be back.
I stayed at Sabine's place for three weeks. It is located in the very beautiful and quiet town of Haiku, which is close to Haiku "downtown" and the place where I did some yoga. The house and rooms are spacious, clean and very cosy. It offers everything you need for a perfect holiday. I also think that it is good value for money. Finally, Sabine is an easy going and superb host that can provide you with loads of tips, whether it has to do with cool windsurfing spots, Hawaiian island hopping or anything else you might want to explore. I'll return soon!
My family had a wonderful time at Sabine's beautiful home in Maui. My two children who were ages 7 and 10 at the time loved her property filled with tropical fruit trees. The property is in a secluded area with views of the ocean. Sabine was a wonderful hostess welcoming us with lilikoi and a warm smile. We can't wait to return again.
My family and me stayed at Sabine’s place for 5 weeks and would be more than happy to go there again. The place provides quite a lot of space in a quite and beautiful part of Maui. Fruit trees, ocean view and Sabine and her kids are lovely hosts. Sabine is most helpful, reliable and friendly. Most recommended!
