Hello - I'm Cornelia!
The apartment is clean, tasteful and comfortable. Cornelia is a wonderfully warm and welcoming host. I wholeheartedly recommend !
We had a great time at Cornelia`s apartment and with her. She was very kind and helpful if we needed something or had any questions. The location of apartment is great and the area is safe. Subway station is only few blocks away. I have nothing to complain. I hope we can stay at Cornelia`s place again in future!
Staying at Cornelia's was overall a pleasant experience. Although the apartment is still a work in progress an can be rough around the edges it is clean and functional. The building seems to have been fully renovated an feels very safe. The location in chinatown is very convinient to explore what manhattan has best to offer. Cornelia is a very friendly host. She was very helpful, nice to be around and talk with.
I stayed with Cornelia for one night while I was in NYC for an interview. I hope to have a chance to be back in the city again and I will definitely try to stay with her! Cornelia is very friendly and welcoming, as well as very organized; she provided me with great directions to her apartment and made it very simple to pick up and drop off the keys. The room she rents out is a simple, uncluttered space with a full bed with a nice firm mattress, and a window that provides lots of light in the morning to wake up to, especially against the white walls. I highly recommend her.
All in all it was a nice stay at Cornelias apartment. Cornelia is a very friendly and helpful host and provided us with a lot of information for example where to go to grab food. The apartment is in a good location and the subway stations are nearby. The bedroom was very clean and the bed is really comfortable! Of course it can be a little bit noisy in China Town but it did not disturb us that much. China Town itself is a great place where you can get good food for less money. The only small issue was that the bathroom was not as clean as expected, especially since there is a cleaning fee but in conclusion we can highly recommend the place for a short trip in NYC!
Cornelia is a wonderful hostess. She's sweet and fun to talk to and get to know. We were comfortable in her place, had no trouble finding it and were pleased with the location and convenience in terms of getting around New York. We were actually there to run the NYC Marathon and it was a great place to stay. We would highly recommend staying here!
We stayed for four nights at Cornelia's. Cornelia was very nice and helpful. The climb up the stairs didn't bother me at all. Being higher up means your further away from the hustle and bustle of China Town. The subway station is close by and it's close to lower-east side etc where there are lots of interesting restaurants and bars. For me the biggest disadvantage was the lack of blinds or curtains in the sleeping areas. I saw another reviewer mention it being nice to be woken up by lots of light in the morning but I prefer to choose when I get up and for me the choice of being able to pull down a blind is essential for where I'm staying. But maybe I'm fussier about that than most and I'm sure this is something Cornelia could easily add in the near future. Also given the cleaning fee which is charged, the floor definitely could have been cleaner as my friend walked from the bedroom to the bathroom in his barefoot and the bottom of his feet were rather dirty - I think a bucket and mop need to be used more often! The main living space is large and uncluttered, the main bedroom is small but perfectly adequate. The bathroom is again small but functional. If Cornelia can put some blinds and add the finishing touches she has planned then I'm sure this apartment will continue to improve as a good value place to stay in New York!
Great space - convenient location for subway and we loved staying in Chinatown - Cornelia is a thoughtful and considerate host and she was very happy to help us and to work with our schedule - she even organized a car and driver to the airport - the apartment is bright and clean; comfortable and stylish and had everything we needed - it is located at the top (5th floor) of a building in one of the quieter streets in Chinatown so feels like a great find tucked away - there is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow which was fine for us as we had no big suitcases and made the apartment feel like a restful sanctuary above a busy city - especially at the end of a full day of experiencing NYC
I stayed at Cornelia's place with my son last October for 5 nights! We enjoyed it very much! Cornelia is a lovely and friendly host who can point you out to interesting places in New York. The apartment is well situated in Chinatown. A lot of interesting places on walking distance like Brooklyn bridge, Financial District and Soho. The room is rather small but we felt very welcomed to use the living room! I can really advise to stay at Cornelia's!
good location, close to subway station (canal street) and Cornelia is really nice and helpfull. However, the night is sometimes noisy because of the chinese restaurants. 5th floor without elevator (small stairs - not convenient for big luggages). We would advice this place for 1 or 2 people in a short stay.
Cornelia is absoulutly nice!! She can come back whenever she needs!!
