I'm from Pittsburgh and live in Mill Valley, CA. I have two kids 6, and 9. I love to be in the mountains as much as possible and am a rippin' snowboarder!

Nice cabin in a pretty good shape. Good location - beautiful place, very short walk to the lake, Eagle Rock can be seen right from the window and is a pretty short, easy and spectacular hike. Good for staying with small children. Kristin and her husband are very responsive in case if any question arise.
Our stay at Chateau Relaxo was fantastic and communicating with Kristin was so easy. It was by far the most simple and convenient process for renting a vacation property that I have experienced. The location was perfect with access to a walking/biking path right out the front door, and just a short walk to the lake. We brought our 3 month old and having a crib and changing table was such a bonus. The home itself was great- nice updated kitchen and outdoor grill, comfortable beds, and nice bathrooms. I would highly recommend Chateau Relaxo and look forward to another stay in the future!
Rancho Relaxo is a great spot, it was perfect for five people, the large yard and water hole give you lots of space to relax and admire Eagle Rock (right across the street). Kristin was very prompt responding to questions, overall an excellent way to spend a week by the lake.
We (two adults and two children aged 13 & 16) visited San Francisco Bay from July 28 through August 4.
The house was beautifully situated on a ridge, with a lovely balcony/porch providing a view of the valley to the east. The kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were on the main floor (“upstairs”), and a master bedroom (suite) downstairs with its own bathroom and porch.
The house was cozy and pleasant, and we immediately felt very comfortable and at home there. Place was clean, with fresh linen and towels provided, and a fully equipped kitchen to do all your cooking in.
The location of the house was perfect! Just minutes from Muir Woods and Muir Beach, and Sausalito (from where we took an enjoyable ferry ride past Alcatraz into San Francisco), and under an hour drive to Sonoma and Napa Valleys or a gorgeous drive up the coast towards Point Reyes. From the house we took a pleasant walk down the ridge to the local Whole Foods (about 15 minutes), and the walk back up was effortless and strangely felt to take less time. Both downtown Mill Valley and Sausalito are plentiful with restaurants, and our host provided us with suggestions where to go.
Speaking of our host, Kristin was very nice and charming to deal with. She was always accessible and responsive whenever we had questions, and always got back to us right away.
Feelings of jealousy and envy that the house is not our permanent residency.
Feelings of despair and sadness when having to leave.
After a crazy ride in standstill traffic from the Bay Area, we arrived at cozy Chateau Relaxo for a fun Fourth of July weekend with good friends. I spent last Fourth in South Lake and wanted something peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what we experienced this year. A quick walk from the beach, Eagle Rock hike with gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe, and a short drive to paddle board rentals, Chateau Relaxo was the perfect spot. We loved the kitchen and made delicious meals all weekend. The new grill is great! Thanks so much for letting us spend time in your beautiful home this weekend.
Chateau Relaxo is wonderful. The house is perfect for up to six people. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, linens/towels, and that the house is well-maintaned. Wi-fi access is awesome for "working" up in Tahoe. The neighborhood and Tahoe Pines beach are also incredible.
The only downside to the house is that it is right on the main road. Note, this is actually a great thing for a winter stay as the road is flat and will always be plowed when there is snow. In summer, it can get a bit loud with cars going by when you're hanging out in the backyard. That being said, with the gorgeous creek off the backyard and the stunning views of Eagle Rock across the street, you get over that quickly. You do not hear the cars from inside the house.
The owners are very attentive and responsive, and we would most definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay. The cottage was a 15-min drive from Squaw which made it perfect for us. We also made use of the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Would totally recommend for those planning on skiing at Squaw.
The cabin is really cute and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was an easy drive to Squaw. The hot tub was lovely with snow all around. We had a great time.
My first experience on Airbnb couldn't have been better. The cabin was a classic A-frame as described. Amenities and supplies were good. The outdoor hot tub was key after a day on the slopes. Would definitely return to this property.
Lovely cabin! My husband and I loved this cozy cabin. Great location and the hot tub was great after a long ski day.
