We had such a great time in paris and Lorins place was perfect! It's in a great neighbourhood really close to the metro for exploring. Lots of light in the apartment and it was very clean! The bed was really comfy as well. The five flights of stairs got easier every day and we just saw them as our final work out of the day to work off all the macarons and petitfours. Thanks Lorin for helping make our trip perfect!
A truly great place to stay in Paris. This is a very large apartment for the price and a real value for your money. It's completely equipped and charmingly furnished. The neighbors were quiet (and friendly, when we crossed paths). You couldn't ask for more from a neighborhood in Paris–the restaurants, boulangeries, patisseries, etc are excellent and well-priced. The two metro lines that run near the apartment are both less than 3 minutes away. Lorin was attentive and responded quickly at both during the booking and while we were at the apartment. We'd love to come back next time we're in Paris–we've stayed in different spots around the city, and this one is hard to beat. No complaints–highly recommend.
We were very satisfied with this apt. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was convenient to all the stores we needed and very close to the metro. Would highly recommend to anyone. Lorin was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with.
parfait rien ne manque
Wow. This place was absolutely amazing. We had the best holiday of our lives so far thanks to this appartment. There are some wonderful restaurants (e.g. Cafe Rey) nearby and there's an amazing bakery just at the bottom of the street, not to mention a famous absinthe bar (la fee verte). We were close enough to walk into the city centre every day (Notre Dame area) and the wifi is essential as you can plan your journey each day. We had only a few phrases of french but everyone was really understanding and there was never an issue. The appartment feels very very safe. Also, something we weren't originally aware of: there's a doctor's right in the complex, your don't even have to go out onto the street to find one, this made us feel even safer. We got used to the stairs after the first day, I had injured my leg pretty badly on the previous leg of our journy in another country but did not have any problem with the stairs here. We were also allowed to book the appartment well in advance. Also, it's is worth considering getting a taxi from the airport straight to the appartment because it works out at just a little bit more with two people travelling, and we just showed the address to the taxi driver at the airport and he took us straight there without any problems. All in all we would recommend this appartment to anyone going to stay in Paris, it's wonderful.
The apartment was amazing, exactly as described, very cozy and accessorized, so straight away it feels like home.
Lorin was wonderful and very helpful.
And most important, the water were really hot (!) all the time, and in a high flow :)
we defiantly come back.
Lorin was a terrific host! Always responded within the hour to any questions I had and his apartment was absolutely beautiful. Great location near a metro station, on a quiet street that overlooks a courtyard. Being on the fifth floor kept street noise to a minimum, and the amenities offered made me feel right at home! It was my first time in Paris and it being for business, this was the exact apartment I needed. I will be sure to reach out to Lorin next time I visit Paris as this was a perfect way to experience the city
Lorin's place is set up for a perfect stay. The apartment has everything needed, and we were comfortable for a full week. Very close to a great metro stop, and plenty of necessary stores, cafes, bistros nearby. We especially enjoyed walking up and down Rue de la Roquette.
We loved it!
Appartement très lumineux et spacieux , bien équipé , quartier agréable et Lorin est à l'écoute .
This lovely Paris apartment is in the vibrant 11th arrondissement. It offers a complete set of amenities: kitchen with utensils, living room with leather couch and tv, and bedroom with queen bed. We got a kick out of the Parisian sense of economy in arranging so many things in the available space. It was cozy without feeling small. We rarely glimpsed other tenants in the building and overall everyone kept the place very quiet.
The building and views are very quaint and just looking out the window into the courtyard was a special experience. We took great advantage of the library of Paris guidebooks to plan our daily forays into the city.
The Rue Voltaire metro stop is only a half block away around the corner. There are many cafes and shops on the same block, and the Bastille is within easy walking distance. Some days we roamed far and wide - and other days we were fully engaged close to home. Since this was our first trip to Paris we made sure to hit all of the popular hotspots - one of our best days was a day ticket on the BatoBus which ranges the Seine from the Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower making many stops. Be sure to take the stop to the Musee D'Orsay on that trip.
We highly recommend this apartment if you are going to Paris by yourself or with a loved one.
Just great! Please come back soon!
I stayed in Edith and Lorin's flat on rue Petion for three months, and it was a fantastic way to experience Paris. You wake up with the neighborhood, eat warm croissants for breakfast, buy groceries from the family shops near Place Leon Blum, and travel by foot or by using the Voltaire metro station half a block away. The flat has several different living spaces, hundreds of TV channels in dozens of languages, excellent internet, and many interesting books. I would still be there if my visa allowed.
I stayed at rue Petion for one year and loved it! The apartment was perfectly suited for me with its tasteful decor and ample space for cooking and working. The apartment is located in a neighborhood with everything and it's all within short walking distance: butcher, bakery, cheese shop, wine shop, grocery store, great restaurants and a metro station. I highly recommend rue Petion; it made my year in Paris a true Parisian experience.
