I'm a long-time city-dweller (Philadelphia 14+ years) but am not a native to urban life. Growing up in a tiny town in rural Pennsylvania meant I didn't meet many people who traveled outside of the state! Since moving to Philadelphia, though, I've had multiple opportunities to travel in- and out-of-country and really love it!
I've worked in Reproductive & Sexual Health since moving to Philly and attended Temple University and culinary school. When not working I like hanging out with friends & family, cooking/baking, reading, dancing, movies, walking and food-truck spotting (Philly's truck scene is blowing up!).
I'm open-minded, respectful and friendly. I currently live communally with 3 other housemates -- I know a great deal about cleanliness and generally respecting shared spaces!
Wherever I go, I'm psyched to learn about food, music, nature, architecture & social cultures through residents and community members. In recent years I've traveled to New York, Arizona & San Francisco; France, Italy & the UK. I stayed with Airbnb hosts for the first time during fall 2012 trip to the Pacific Northwest and I can't imagine ever wanting to stay in a hotel again...
I'm looking to Eastern Europe and Australia/New Zealand for my next trips!
