This was my first visit to Melbourne and I had a Wonderful stay in Coburg with Airdrie and Mick and Molly and Spike . I felt very much at home and comfortable at all times. Airdrie and Mick are very casual and easy going and there home felt just like a home away from home. They are located in a great location trams on the doorstep Lygon street just down the road and perfectly located in between the airport and the city. Catching a cab to and from the airport was only $ 37.00 each way very reasonable, it only took 15/20 minutes into the city by tram or train ,lots of restaurants and Sydney road a short walk up the street. While I was there I also had the pleasure of Molly and Spike there 2 beautiful dogs and there 3 little gorgeous puppies . Thank you again Airdrie and Mick for having me in your home I had a great stay and would stay again and will recommend your place to anyone I know visiting Melbourne .
Kind regards Julie
Thank you so much for letting us stay. You are very nice. House is so beautiful and good location.
Lovely stay with Airdrie! She was a wonderful host and even went out of her way to accommodate our check in times. Very well travelled and it was great stealing some tips from her. Loved the dogs and the puppies!
Good location, around 20mins to the city by tram. I would definitely recommend.
Mick and Airdrie are a nice couple and the room is pleasant. The location as mentioned is just off the tram 8 or 1 line (30 minutes to Federation Square). Getting there from the airport can be done on public transport but takes awhile and involves several bus changes but avoids the Skybus charges. Really appreciated Airdrie's suggestion of taking the free walking tour--10:30 start outside state library -- a great way to get to know Melbourne. Staying here was so much more pleasant than staying Hostel at probably a lower cost.
Esther and I stayed with Airdrie for one Friday night prior to heading home after a week of holiday in Melbourne. The location was excellent for getting to the airport for our early morning flight and parking was easily available on the street. Airdrie was very busy preparing to support a dinner event but kindly took the time to provide a map and provide recommendations for dinner/coffee. I have to echo other guests to say the the puppies (just weeks old when we were there) were incredibly cute. Keeping in mind that we were there for only about 12 hours my feedback is: The room was just big enough for 2 people with a large suitcase, the bed clean and comfortable with good wifi and a tv with a number of interesting DVDs which I wish I had time to view. One can hear the tram in the room but not too loud. There is no ensuite toilet-it is located 2 rooms down and is shared with the host so can get quite crowded. The passage to the toilet had quite a few items in it during our stay, I think that Airdrie was preparing for a weekend market.
A big thanks to Airdrie, who are very sympatic and give us a lot of advices.
The house is well located, just near a bus, tram and train station.

I recently stayed 2 nights with Airdrie and Mick at their home in Coburg. They made me feel most welcome, even providing space for me to park my motorbike inside their front yard. It was very easy to catch a tram into the centre of the city, especially with the loan of a 'travel card' from Airdrie. The room was spacious and comfy. The location of the home made it very easy for me to hit the highway to the north when I left. Thanks, A and M.
I had a really good time in Melbourne. Airdrie has been a wonderful helpful host, she gave me so much good advices and good places to go! I will definitely recommend this place, the room was very confy and the house was clean. Also the location is great closed to lot of restaurants and bars and really not so far from the city center (about 20/25mns) with 2lines of tramway. For sure, if I have to come back I know where I will stay!
Airdrie's spare bedroom is a great alternative to the high cost of a hotel room if you just need a comfortable bed for a night or two. The house is very convenient to Carlton, the city, the Arts Centre and South Melbourne, thanks to easy access to the tram service. Airdrie was very flexible about my 10.30 pm arrival, and I was lucky that her dog had just had puppies, which were so sweet. Airdrie's got a well-equipped kitchen which guests are welcome to use.
Nice pleasant room for our one night stay over. Next to necessities, no problem with tram, car park or catching a bus. Nice 2 cute friendly dogs that will surely greet you as you arrived. Friendly owner to chat over breakfast.
