Venice native, surfer, conservation biologist. I like sharing my knowledge of the area, and can also offer custom tours, surf lessons, etc.
Great little place close to the beach. Amazing location! No tv, but av cables to plug our laptop into speakers. Excellent wireless. It was a perfect place for my wife and I to stay for our 1 month California vacation. Although there is no parking space provided, there is plenty of free street parking all around. Steve is great and super helpful. Very impressed!
Was exactly as described in the AirBNB post. A great location and Steve was very helpful and responsive. Was a perfect spot for three twenty-somethings to crash for a fun weekend.
appartment very confortable and with a great location closed to the beach
Great location. Comfortable. Didn't have problems finding parking. Basic amenities and the show had some draining challenges but location compensated for this.
Steve is a nice guy (although he was 25 min. late to meet us in an alley with the keys and we had 2 exhausted toddlers in the car), but unfortunately his place is NOT what it seems in the pictures (and we took pictures to prove it). We knew it wasn't a poshy place or anything like that, but when we got there I nearly had a melt down. If wasn't for not wanting to displace our 2 small kids, we would've requested a refund :( The furniture was completely rearranged from the pictures, there was no TV (clutter in its place), there were only 2 little towels hanging up (for 4 people going to the beach!) the kitchen/shower/sinks, etc. are old and stained, there is hardly ANYTHING to cook with, the comforter was stained, you have to pay for laundry, and everything just sort of seemed old and dusty. The only positive is that the shower is super hot, and the place is 2 blocks from the beach, so if you're just looking for a surfer crash pad, this is your place! I wouldn't pay $100/night for it though.
We had a great time in this cozy (website hidden) beach. The location is perfect!
We had a great stay at Steve's place. It takes less than a minute to walk to the beach, and it's a safe and quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the Apple TV and the giant screen, and didn't have any problems while we were there. Steve was a great host, he was very friendly. Venice Beach is very lively and interesting, although parking can be a bit of a problem if you have a car. We'd definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to LA!
We were good to steve,he also lent me his surfboards and bicycles,
Venice is a nice place to stay in los angeles, recommend to young peaple..
Steve's place was a cozy haven steps away from Venice Beach and Ocean Front Walk. Antonella took a swim in the ocean every morning before we went journeying in L.A.! Thanks, Steve!
Steve's great and the place is clean and right on the beach! It's quiet at night and totally walkable area. We had the best time here, can't believe we got an entire apartment for that price! Also, we took the canal tour, really beautiful, I totally recommend it.
I've stayed at Steve's place multiple times- it's a great location- steps to the beach, and really cool apartment- old style historical Venice, clean, with a personal touch. Steve goes out of his way to make you feel at home- he provides bikes, tour books, recommendations, and all amenities included. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Don't miss out on this very reasonable opportunity to live comfortably in Venice like the natives do!
If you're visiting Venice Beach, hanging out with Steve will add immeasurably to your experience. Steve is great, mellow, smart, funny, in tune with nature, and will welcome you with his native knowledge of the area. I recommend him highly as a host. And the apartment is comfortable, and, located on a walk-street half a block from the beach, could not be more convenient for the ocean and boardwalk, as well as being close to Abbot Kinney blvd.
steve is great and has a sweet pad just steps from the beach!
