Hi. I'm from Texas originally, but after living in New York, Chicago, London, and New York again I've landed in Los Angeles. I work for myself in the world of design. My wife is an actress from New York. We travel back and forth to NYC a lot for our work, and go to other places for not-work: Banff, Austin, Portlands East and West, and some places that require a passport to get to, like Ethiopia and Cambodia and Thailand and Laos. Italy: I have a major crush on that country.
What else? We are coffee-addicted people. We are plenty friendly and other folks seem to like us well enough, as long as we have had some coffee that day. I think I naturally gravitate to travel destinations where people either produce or drink lots of coffee. (See above list.) In April of 2014, we had our first child, a daughter. If it's possible, coffee has become even more important.
When we rent a place, we don't want for much. Clean, good bed, nice shower, wifi, and we're very happy. (Coffee maker.) We don't need a television. Mostly, we just want a place that doesn't feel like a hotel room. We like to leave a place much as we found it. We're low-impact in that way.
I don't have a motto, but this site is challenging me to make one up. How about this: the less stuff you have, the more you get to enjoy what you keep.
