Hi Katrina, thanks for your review. Actually you've experienced a very unusual happening: hight tide in may! It's something that i didn't see in all my life.
Normally hight tide is from november to february and it's a normal situation in VEnice... but in may...
About breakfast: we try to do our best, but in Italy there are special sanitary laws about breakfast in B&B, we cannot serv fresh food or handle fresh food, only guaranted, packed food. So, who is serving fresh food in B&B in Italy is basically a potential health danger or is violating laws.
Of course you are very welcome if you came next time in VEnice!!!!
sometimes, it happens one time a year, for 10 days I go in holidays or I just need to visit my parents outside Venice.
When this happen, I ask a friend to help me. For your unlucky this was the time so my freind could not offer you the service that we normally offer. ( Read our reviews). As you can see, I take the time to answer you in a pretty correct and fluent english...
I'm very sorry about the service we've provided, normally isn't so.
Then, in Venice there are special rules, we cannot switch on AC outside a special period, like the heating, to preserve electricity and our beautiful city.
We cannot switch on A/C when outside is 20 degrees Celsius.
Normally we don't suggest to drink water from tap, I think also in your country is not recommended, we normally tell our clients to buy a set of small waterbottle in the nearest supermarket ( NOT shop, they are expensive).
Again, sorry if I took 10 days of holiday!
