I will be pleased to welcome you in my parisian apartment.
I will give you the keys in person.
Hope you'll spend a nice time in Paris
I stayed in Juliens flat between the 1st November 2012 and 31st January 2013. It's really a lovely apartment that has all the conveniences you need; dishwasher, washingmachine, coffemaker etc. Its very spacious and luminous.
The area is very nice, it has a lot of french bistros and cute little coffeshops and bars. Its located near canal st-Martin, which is a charming channel with its bridges. It's really a safe neighborhood with a lot of people circulating. Within a radius of 200 meters you can find 3 different supermarkets(one is even open on SUNDAYS).
The apartment is located near two metro stations, Goncourt and Republique. From Rebublique you have easy acces to Paris, and in only ten or fifteen minutes you can bee in a totally different arrondisement.
Julien has been an excellent host, kind and understanding. He has even given me information about the area and nice restaurants(when I first arrived).
I spent a really good time in Paris!
Paris is fantastic and Julien's flat is very pretty e comfortable!
The house is collocated in a very nice and central zone, full of kind restaurants and cafe, It is also near many metro stations.
Julien is very nice, and he can give you great tips!
- great apartment
- big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids
- kids loved air mattress
- internet was good enough (did not like some vpn)
- convenient to republique metro, 4 lines
- canal was nice to walk past every morning/evening
- AC needs a little more C and not just A
- quieter than most neighborhoods
Julien is an excellent host and the apartment is just in the perfect location. We felt very comfortable during our three weeks stay and would love to come back again.
We loved staying at Julien's flat - it's in the middle of a lovely neighborhood, right off the canal with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, plus a Saturday morning antique market and a Sunday morning produce market. Heaven! We lazily watched boats go through not one but two locks, made our way back and forth to the Republic train station easily and felt very much a part of the city. Merci!
We had a great time in the cute apartment of Julien. He met us upon arrival and drew us a map of the area and gave us his recommendations for restaurants, wine, bread, and cheese stores, supermarkets, and travel. His soft spoken and patient demeanour immediately put us at ease and made us feel welcome.
His apartment is amply large by Paris standards. It has all the amenities that one might need during the stay - full kitchen, bathroom (with washer), toilet, living and dining room, and a bedroom. We had quite a bit of luggage and appreciated the elevator of the apartment (which is not standard in Paris). The apartment is very near to the St. Martin canal and overlooks a stately Parisian apartment building. This makes for some nice views and an early morning run by the canal is a pleasure. His recommendations on restaurants and stores were spot on. The supermarket is very near and one can easily buy supplies if one decides to eat in the apartment.
Julien was kind enough to let us use his music and TV system (the latter we did not use). It is great to return from a long day in Paris to some refreshing music and lovely organic French wine from the Au Quai wine store (recommended by him). He even offered us to the supplies that he left in the kitchen. The apartment is inspiring for anyone interested in arts. It is full of books (specially related to movies), posters, photographs, music, etc. We felt we were in the apartment of someone with good tastes. He answered our querries through emails promptly.
The only small reproach that we had was that the apartment could have been cleaner. But I have been a bachelor once myself and I understand. Overall, we had a very good experience at this apartment and shall definitely return to it. This was my first reservation with Airbnb and it is hosts like Julien that make this site a success!
The flat is in a great location, is big and bright, and had everything we needed. Julien was really helpful and friendly. We chose his flat because it was walkable to the Gare du Nord and listed as "smoking not allowed" (we were traveling with our baby and wanted a smoke-free apartment). Unfortunately when we arrived we found that the apartment did smell like cigarette smoke. While the flat was tidy, the kitchen trash was full and smelly when we arrived and the place was quite dusty. That said, we would still recommend the apartment and are sure that was just an oversight and not the norm.
My wife and I stayed at Julien's flat over the weekend. He couldn't have been nicer and the flat was terrific (by the way make sure you stop at Au Quai opposite, it's a fantastic little wine bar which we discovered by accident with two hours to go till our train left!) and was excellently located just by Canal Saint Martin. He very helpfully let us leave our bags the whole of Monday day and night even though we had only paid for Saturday and Sunday night. We'll be coming back very soon and hope to stay here again- thanks again Julien!
Julien was a very friendly and gracious host! We arrived a bit later than we had originally planned, but Julien was very understanding and met us as soon as we could get there. He spoke English very well and gave us a few tips about restaurants and sights nearby. The apartment was very charming - just as advertised... with bedroom, clothes washer, kitchen, etc. Very good water pressure in the shower, Wi-Fi worked great. Very good location...just about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. It was on the 5th floor, but the apartment had a nice elevator and the apartment building required a key to get into, so we felt very secure. You can see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the window. My husband and I had a wonderful time!
The apartment is perfect- great location and all the amenities you'd need. Julien is a great host. He is very attentive and helpful.
I really recommend this appartment for a stay in Paris. It is very central next to the lovely area of Canal Saint Martin and to the metro République. It is functional, clean and very cosy. You will love the decoration and the light !
Julien has a very nice and sweet flat. When I have extra guests I recommand them to go at his place because it's even closer to the canal than ours and we share the same respect and interest for travelers. Julien is a creative mind that knows a lot about Paris and its charm maybe because he sees it as a movie director. A place to stay for sure.
This is just a great apartment ! Very functional, lots of light, quiet, nice kitchen, all very clean. All of this in one of the up and coming neighborhoods of Paris, close to the Canal St Martin and République, with loads of great bars and affordable good restaurants. Absolutely perfect for a stay to get a taste of the real Paris. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make the best of this city !
