I am in my mid-20s and am living and teaching high school French and journalism in a small town. I grew up in a larger city, but moved to the mountains simply by chance after obtaining my degree. I love working with teenagers, both at school and in the church I attend. It's so much fun to help them grow, not only in their academic studies, but also as people in general.
In addition to my job at the high school, I also teach (and take!) ballet part time. This is one of the things about which I am most passionate. When I am not at school or in the dance studio, I can be found hanging out with friends, going to artsy things (I love concerts and theater), doing outdoor activities (hiking, biking, floating down the river), exploring new places (especially historical ones), or just relaxing and reading in a coffee shop. I stay busy, but I like it that way!
I started to love traveling during college when I spent several months in Europe, primarily in Paris. When I travel, I like to simply live the life of the people in the place I am. I'm not really into doing the touristy thing. I would rather experience the every day life in a new place than rush from one famous place to the next trying to fit everything in. I also like to get to know new people as I travel (if possible). I find that is always helpful in making the whole travel experience more fulfilling.
