Everything was great! We had a wonderful time in Oak Cliff and the casita was great!
Hy husband and I were in town on business for five days, and Zac's place was great for our needs. Exactly as advertised. The neighborhood is beautiful, and close to lots of great shopping and dining options. This space was a great landing place after long days on our feet, and we were very comfortable there.
The place is exactly as described! Lots of privacy, great location. Zac was really nice and accommodating. We loved the chickens. Would definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed my stay. Their description of the "casita" was extremely accurate and there were no surprises. They were very accommodating and even stocked their mini fridge with local beer, water and fruit. They even (email hidden) listing the local restaurants and bars...even being extremely familiar with the oak cliff area, I still appreciated their input.
Very nice little backyard house in a great neighborhood close to some great bites and beverages. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and they even left us some tea, fresh apples and few great local beers in a mini-fridge. The Casita gets great daylight and we had plenty of privacy to recover from a big wedding weekend. The backyard with its chickens and raised bed gardens was also nice to have outside. Definitely recommend it to others!
Great 2nd stay in Oak Cliff!
Zac was a great host. The casita was quiet and comfortable. It got fairly cold during my stay but he provided an extra heater that helped a lot. I was in town for a conference and when asking for directions on how to get downtown I mentioned to Zac that I commute to work on my bicycle everyday at home and would love to bike to the conference if possible. He let me borrow a bike, gave me directions and completely set me up for a fun four days of commuting. What a great way to experience a new place! Overall, I was made to feel completely welcome and at home. I tried out four of Zac's restaurant recommendations and every one of them was excellent and right on target. The street taco place on Davis St. and Spiral Diner were my favorites. This was my first airbnb experience and it was just great fun to be with Zac and his family, real people in a real neighborhood, instead of cooped up in a big hotel.
This is an amazing place in an amazing location in an amazing neighborhood. I wish I hadn't been working the whole time or I would have spent more time exploring. Upon hearing I am a bit of a coffee snob, Zac suggested I visit Davis Street Espresso, where I tasted some of the best iced coffee I've ever had. The room is so neat and clean and really makes you feel at home. Perfect for the weary traveler or adventurous vacationer. And there are chickens!
Really comfortable backyard hideaway in a very fun neighborhood, walking distance to bars, restaurants, galleries, major music venue, and easy jump to downtown. Hosts are totally unobtrusive, very cool. Highly recommended -- this was my second visit, and I expect to be back.
Unfortunately, we were not able to stay at Zac's place due to a glitch in our calendars. However, I did meet him, and he was very polite and assured me that my fiancé and I could stay at any time. We look forward to it.
Nice couple, I give them my recommendation.
