A home-like experience that is so memorable. Thanks so much to Insook and her mother, which are so nice and warm to greet the visitor. I have never imagined that I can live in a house that mixed with modern and traditional Korean style, the experience here made me feel like I was just a resident in this district, everything is local and special. Everything here is ready: food and beverage, washing and bathing necessities, and the WARMTH.
Many many thanks to Insook and her mother's farewell breakfast - the curry rice set, its really delicious and surprising, feel like my parents preparing a meal for me. Also for the souvenir I got from Insook's great mother - the homemade plum, I can say it is very very delicious, I LOVE THAT, so as my parents. Thanks again for it, I am so touching with all they did. I really love their smile and care, that's so warm. That's a full meal and we had a full trip!! If I were living in the hotel, the experience would not be that memorable. It's really lucky to have a chance living here, I bet, everyone likes it.
P.S. It's also a funny experience to communicate with them in body language. The location here is good, near to market, subway and natural area, take a deep breathe here would make you relieve.
I would no doubt living here again next time when I go to Seoul. Actually, I missed Insook and her mother, and also the house so much when I left.
I will never forget this trip, this house, Insook and her mother. Blessing to them.
This place is exactly like the pictures posted. It's clean and cozy and very comfortable! The walk from the subway station to the apartment is about 10mins and there are various cafes, minimart and restaurants along the way.
The area is very homely and residential-like compared to the city area. There's a traditional market nearby that sells very delicious local food. Also there are street food/stalls along the way which opens till quite late at night.
The host, In Sook is very helpful and friendly throughout my trip! I really felt at home and enjoyed my stay there. It's a definite comfy place to stay if you like quiet and slower pace environment. :)
For my first ever visit to Korea I chose this really cozy and comfortable apartment! I spent two monthes here and the atmosphere of this place made my journey even more wonderful! The apartment is comfortable and very good equipped for a long staying, it contains everything you may need! So you just feel it as a "home sweet home". I fell in love from the very first step! This place is exactly like the pictures posted. The apartment is located at area which i found very comfortable. The traditional market, street food, coffee shops, super market and barber shops - you can find everything near your home! The subway and the bus stops are in 5 minutes. I have to say also that i found the district very safe. I've been at Hongdae every weekend, usually got home late at night and also i like night walking.. and everything was ok always! Nice calm streets, nothing dangerous. You may thing that Yeonsinnae Stn is little bit far from the "big city life" but it's not true. As i said i spent a lot of time at Hongdae (as well as at Mokdong and Yeouido). Hongdae was the main location to me and the way tooks about 20-25 minutes. Fast enough! Also from Yeosinnae you can easily get to some historical places. And the fact that Yeonsinnae is two-line station makes this subway station even more usefull. Also i was really surprised about the host, In Sook. In Sook is really friendly, helpfull and charming lady! She quickly became my very first friend in Korea! She met me at the bus stop and helped me at my very first day and then she was always online in (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) messenger, always friendly and ready to help me with all my questions. From time to time she even asked me if i am ok! And i felt that she cares about me!! Every to weeks at the day which was ok to us In Sook came to the house, made a full cleaning and brought some food, bread or cereals, milk, eggs, coffee and even more..... And i have to say that In Sook was more than just the host, she even helped me to make an order on the korean online shop i wasn't able order on. Thanks to In Sook i got the CDs i was dreaming about for a long time!! She made the order, got it and brought to me! Moreover, i asked about the last CD very late and it has been delivered at the next day i left the country.. And In Sook promised to me keep my CD untill my friend come to her and take it! She is the person you can trust 100%, the person you can 100% rely on. I highly recommend this comfortable apartment! And recommend In Sook as the host! Wanna stay here again next time! Thank you, In Sook! You will always be my friend. Much love from Russia!...

This apartment was my home for four weeks in December. It's a very clean place which looks exactly as shown in the pictures, the bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may ask for.
The apartment is located in a quite side-street in a typical residential area with red-bricked houses and many small and tiny streets. All kind of shops, eateries, and supermarkets are nearby. There's a traditional street market which you can pass by on the short walk to and from the subway station. Thanks to two subway lines and many more bus lines, commuting to the Hongdae/Sincheon area as well as to the city center (financial district and main tourist areas) is very convenient. For outdoor fans a 10 to 15 minutes walk to the Bukhansan national park with its various hiking trails is a definitive plus.
Insook, the owner of the apartment, made sure that my stay was as comfortable and convenient as possible. On arrival, she even picked me up at the airport bus station and already has prepared some fruits, cereals, water bottles, etc.. Also, during my stay she was always very responsive and made sure that everything is going well.
In short, if you look for a basic but cozy and comfortable apartment with good value for your money, I can strongly recommend this place. It's also very well suited for an extended stay.
I stayed in this cozy apartment for one month in October. Speaking from my years of travel experience, I can say it was one of the best accommodation I ever had. The host, Insuk, was very attentive and kind. When I arrived in the apartment, I found a basket of fruits, a box of cereal and etc on the table and milk two bottles of milk in the fridge. The place was very well decorated, which made the room look more spacious and cozy. The heater, shower, washing machine, vacuum and pretty everything worked very well. The kitchen had almost everything you needed to prepare a meal.
Perhaps the best thing about this place is that the owner lives close by and very nice. She was responsible and warm even after I left the place. She sent me my belongs I left behind by mail. It was perfectly packaged, which alarmed me.
This place is in Eunpyeong-gu, which is not exactly near to the center of the city. If you take the subway #3, you get to the center easily enough, about 20 minutes to Jong no. Another wonderful thing about this place is that it is right below the famous Bukhansan Mountain. It is definitely a must if you are an outdoor person.
In short, I found myself very lucky to have stayed in Insuk's place for the cheap price, great service and nice neighborhood.
Clean and neat little apartment runby a very hospitable hostess. This "villa" has become my home during my 4 week stay in Seoul. Son In Sook, in the daughter, that has been so kind and welcoming to me and made my stay as pleasant as it was. The neighborhood is very local, but comes with all comforts of a metropole and offers a lot of small coffee shops and a nice street market where you can buy all traditional foods. The subway station is very nearby and makes it easy to get everywhere you need to be. However if you plan to go out a lot in hip Hongdae or vibrant and international Itaewon I would recommend to stay closer to those areas since metro's will only run for a limited time during the weekends. At the other hand Yeonsinnae itself has a lively night life itself. Plenty of restaurants and places to get chicken and beers around the corner!
In the apartment is everything you could wish for and Son In Sook has been the sweetest to make sure that I had everything as I wished. With great care she explained how everything worked and was available at all times to ask questions. I would recommend everybody who wants an authentic and convenient stay in Seoul to go here!
