French woman with Asian background. I like travelling and meeting friends from everywhere.
Wow... Where should I even start? She's more like a friend than a host or roommate for me during the stay at her place!! She was very thoughtful and caring. She was so caring to an extend that she wanted to know if I needed toasts for breakfast!! [yeah sorry pal, I don't eat healthy!]
She showed me around since I have no sense of direction. She even offered me a map to find my way [sorry again pal, I love GPS for a reason]. From simply offering me a SIM card to bringing me out for a yummy Malaysian dinner and having a normal chat to discussing what to do in the future, how could you even see her just as a host?
The place was clean, neat and comfortable and this was all I needed. Her place really felt like a home. Yes, I called it A HOME. She gave me a key to my room but I didn't even bother to lock it. This was how much I trusted her. Please, if anyone wants to stay at a good "HOME", Sylvie's place will be the first choice!!
My boyfriend and I loved staying at Sylvie's flat. Though super cozy (as all apartments in HK are), it was in a great location - close to the MTR and the bus that takes you to/from the airport. Also close to Temple St and yummy restaurants. Sylvie was a great resource to us in terms of getting around, where to shop for last minute souvenirs, and Hong Kong culture all around. If you're in HK, we highly recommend staying with Sylvie.
Sylvie was a fantastic host. She met me at the bus stop, took me to a few local places to eat, and helped me navigate the city. She also provided refreshments and an unlocked phone, which was clutch since I forgot to bring my own. Sylvie rents this room so that she can meet travelers, so we had a great time chatting about our respective lives and tales of travel.
The apartment is pretty small, but that's what you get in the middle of town. Clean and has air conditioning, which I desperately needed! Great location -- near Temple St market and places to eat, close to the MTR and many bus lines, and safer than the Tsim Sha Tsui area.
Overall, a perfect host and a great place to stay for a solo traveller.
We spent 2 weeks with Sylvie in her flat in HK. Everything was excellent!!! The flat was very clean, convinient, cozy and what is most important- it is plased in the center of Kowloon. It was easy to get at any part of HK and it took not a lot of time. Bus stop to the airport is a 2-3 minute walk from the flat!!!
Silvie is the best owner you can wish! She is very kind, nice, calm and sociable. She always helped us and gave great advises about restaurants, places to walk and prices))
We spent unforgettable time in HK thanks to Sylvie!!!
Sylvie is an awesome host!! I've spent one month in HK and spent times with Sylvie, she is a great friend for sure! and I love the stories shares, as also she is a great listener and she certainly inspires and encourages people, open-minded and very sweet! I'm really happy that I've met Sylvie! and I will be visiting her again ;)
Six years ago, in a French engineering and management school, I met Sylvie. She is a friendly, generous and open-minded person. Moreover, she cooks very well :) So Sylvie is the perfect roommate. She is eager to meet people and learn about their culture. So far, she has lived for instance with Russians, an American-Korean (website hidden) employee ; she is looking forward to repeat those successful cohabitations. As a friend, I fully trust Sylvie.
We went to school together.
Sylvie is a very welcoming and trustworthy person. You won't make a mistake getting in touch with her, she always seems to know where are the best places to visit, to eat or to find cheap stuff! She enjoys meeting new people and won't let you down when you are in need.
I know Sylvie from Paris where she was my student improving her English. She is a kind, thoughtful and generous young woman full of energy and talent. She is surely an excellent host and staying with her will be a pleasure.
I've known Sylvie since middle school.
She is a cheerful and reliable young lady.
She is open-minded and very kind. It is really easy to talk with her.
She likes sharing experience, learning new things and find out about other cultures.
And she loves helping people! Her qualities enable her to make friends and to keep them.
She is very active: she loves travelling and organizing outings with her friends. You can not get bored with her. I will never forget the "bachelor date" event that she organized.
So Sylvie is a person who worth a second look!
I strongely recommend her!!!!!
Sylvie is a good friend to me, always nice, open-minded and honest. She's the best host you can imagine and she has a gift for good advice !
I'm so happy to have met Sylvie. We met in Hong Kong and she's been very helpful even though we're both new here. She goes out of her way to help others. She's very informative and fiercely independent. I believe I have made a life long friend with her!
My wife and I met Sylvie earlier this year in Hong Kong at a (website hidden) event, and we've been friends ever since. She is super nice and really fun to hang out with! And, she speaks French, English, and Mandarin! What more could you want in a host? If we didn't already have a place we would definitely love to stay at her place!
