I loved the location and the privacy of the Joshua Tree Guest Studio, we were so close to the park and felt like we had our own amazing little apartment. JayBe totally left the place to us and there was no need for additional interaction after we arrived. Great spot for a couple to hangout and unwind after a long day of hiking in the park. JayBe also stocks the place with excellent reading material about the area, restaurant recommendations, and good books.
Our host Jaybe was easy to work with. The location of the studio was as described, both with easy access to the National Park and downtown Joshua Tree. Jaybe has all kinds of great information on hikes, star gazing and local sites in the studio.
The studio sits right next to Coyote Hole and is a great beginner's hike before heading out to the National Park. At night, sitting on the porch for star gazing is fabulous. It feels like you can reach up and touch the stars.
The studio itself is like "camping" with all the amenities and privacy of a home. The rustic studio is quite tiny and cozy, perfect for two. There is a small kitchen, bathroom with a shower, a memory foam bed and a table with two chairs. The studio is perfect for coming home to after long days of exploring the area on foot or by bike. No TV, but you don't need it - the entertainment is outside. There is a strong wi-fi signal that works both inside and outside.
We didn't cook - we enjoyed meals at Natural Sisters and Crossroads, both take-away and eat-in. The Stater Brothers in Yucca Valley just up from Joshua Tree is nice if you need any groceries.
Be sure and stop by the information center in town. The Rangers are very helpful.
We had a fabulous time at Joshua Tree Guest Studio. JayBe was a very responsive host and always answered our pre-visit questions promptly. Everything was just as described except the location and view were even better! The space was clean, the bed comfy, and we had everything we needed to make light meals. Thanks for a wonderful experience. We did not personally meet JayBe, but perhaps will on a return visit!
My girlfriend and I had a great time staying here! Awesome location, beautiful b&b and we could see tiny lizards and rabbits all around. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
This little studio was cozy and very well stocked. There are a bunch of flyers of local events and maps printed out of hikes that start literally outside the door. The bathroom was very spacious and had everything we needed. The car port is an added perk, as well as the lamps going up the stairs, and the colored light on the outside. It helped us find the place after dark. We loved that there were separate bins for trash, recycling, and compost. Would definitely come back here for a longer visit in the future. :)
We found this place to be perfect for just the two of us. We loved it's size and the cute french doors that opened up to the outside made for a perfect view even when just having coffee in bed. Like others have said, the kitchen is tiny but well equipped so it didn't bother us one bit. I loved the charming and unpretentious decor. We can't wait to be back!
The tiny cottage was clean and well equipped. It was within walking distance to the petroglyphs at Coyote Hole which was one of my favorite things, ever. We loved the outdoor space and found the whole experience relaxing and very comfortable. This was our first Air B&B stay and Jaybe was a wonderful ambassador. Thank you!
We just came back from four nights at the Joshua Tree Guest Studio and are already yearning to go back! It was the perfect place to soak in the sunshine and solitude while also being close to the park and great shops and cafes in case we wanted to venture out. Drinking my morning coffee on the porch while watching the lizards and desert birds was absolute perfection! We even spotted a coyote one morning!
JayBe was out of town but left us great check in details and a contact phone number in case we needed anything - which we did not. Everything we needed was provided and the place was clean, comfy and cozy. We will definitely be back!
We loved this place. It is small, but well equipped, and close to the park. The outside areas are very nice and we liked being at the edge of town.
We loved our stay @ this little studio. It was clean , comfortable and close to town. It had a spacious shower too! Just what we needed after camping several days in the desert.
