Sam and Janko were great host. They were flexible with the key exchange and the apartment was as described. Incredible view and Honolulu was amazing to visit. When I go back Hawaii I plan to check with Sam and Janko on the availability of the apartment.
Sam was great and this studio was perfect! Its really spacious, has a comfortable bed and in a great location. The lanai was really nice and I would definitely stay again!
Sam and Junko were very welcoming, responsive and flexible. We corresponded regularly via text regarding my arrival time and made sure that they were available to let me in. They must live nearby because when we called for help to open the balcony door, they were at our door less than 2 minutes later.
The place was amazing!
The apt we initially rented had some pipe problems, so Sam upgraded us to an even better one! That was very nice of him!
The view was awesome, everything was tidy and clean and the location itself is very convenient. The building has all the facilities you might think of, even jakuzi and grocery store.
Sam & Junko were very friendly and welcoming! If we're ever in Waikiki again, we'll make sure to rent one of Sam's places.
I really liked the apartment but not the owner's. I booked this condo for 3 weeks stay during my trip to Oahu. I booked a week from my travel date. The owner's originally gave me a rate an sent me a link to book; before I could book they said that particular condo couldn't be booked anymore. They offered me another room but increased the price (honestly I felt like they just did this to charge more money). I arrived and as promised Sam met me in the lobby to give me my keys. Sam seemed like a very creepy guy but did what he said. The condo is about 10-15 min walk from Waikiki beach and located in a great tourist location. The only complaints I had about the actual condo was the beds were very hard and Wifi slow. My issue with the owner's started a couple days after I arrived. I received a nasty message from them concerning the A/C, I was being fussed at for leaving the unit on when I wasn't in the unit. The truth was I turned off the unit whenever I left but that day was a bad weather day, so I stayed in the whole day. The rest of the trip I didn't see Sam until the day before checkout, he reminded me check out was 11am. On check out day, I was having trouble loading my stuff in my car, so I was running a few minutes behind. Sam lived next door to the unit I was renting; a few minutes before 11am he opened his door and creepily stared at me the whole time while I was trying to move my luggage. He seemed annoyed I wasn't done checking out even though I was only 10 minutes behind. After I finished getting all my stuff out, Sam checked the condo. He complained about how the condo wasn't cleaned properly, I reminded him I paid a cleaning fee. Watch out for these renter's, they seem to have a bad attitude.
This 43rd story studio was in the heart of Waikiki and was within walking distance of several attractions. It was an incredibly convenient space with a beautiful view. Sam's description of the unit was spot on and the hardwood floors were new.
The covered lanai was also lovely and gave us a good view of Waikiki beach and a canal and golf course.
Sam was very welcoming and greeted us at the front of the building when we arrived. The apartment itself was well appointed with everything we'd need for the week: fresh towels, beach towels, a snorkel mask, pots/pans and other cooking stuff, and a great air conditioning unit (which we didn't even need to use much if we just turned on the fan and left the window open).
One criticism of the building itself was that the walls are fairly thin, and it seemed that someone down the hall burned something. The smell of this was pretty strong for a couple days. Other than that, neighbors were respectful and friendly, and there seemed to be lots of other vacationers visiting the seaside island colony.
Thanks for helping us have a great honeymoon!
Absolutely loved this place!! Sam was nice enough to allow me to stay for 3 months in this place and it worked out perfectly!! The location is perfect. 3 blocks from the beach and down the street from major shopping, hotels, and restaurants. The place was very clean and had everything I needed: queen bed, pullout couch, dresser, cable tv and Internet, closest, fridge and 2 top stove. It even had a window ac unit which is very hard to find in Hawaii!! There is parking on site and security to make you feel safe. Sam was very welcoming, easy to get a hold of and in the building if I were to have needed anything. I will definitely be coming back and would stay here again!! Aloha and mahalo Sam and Junko!
Sam was a great host, sending through all the info we needed in advance and being readily available for any assistance required.
The condo is a good size, with good amenities both in the room and in the hotel complex. A short walk to the beach and the shops and restaurants of Waikiki. Fantastic views! We can thoroughly recommend this condo.
One thing to be aware of, particularly for those from colder climates like ourselves, is that the air conditioning only cools the bedroom and is quite noisy and pricey to run (electricity is charged separately, albeit at reasonable rates). Opening up the windows provides a nice breeze but ideally we would have preferred more efficient air con.
But overall, a great base for your time in Waikiki. Thanks Sam.
Fabulous accomodation! It had everything I needed and more. The hosts were real friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again.
