Student at NYU's Institute of Fine Arts; studying for M.A. in ancient Egyptian art and archaeology. Currently I live in New York, originally from Chicago. I have a B.A. in Classics and a minor in French. I worked as a librarian for several years and taught children aged 9-13 about ancient civilizations and French history/language. Now, I am a research assistant for the Abydos Project, an ongoing excavation project in Egypt.
Also, I enjoy writing fiction and spend a lot of time working on my series set in ancient times and trying to publish my short stories. My inspiration comes from my studies and research, from nature, from travel experiences, and even from people with whom I interact every day!
Other hobbies include watching movies, taking walks, visiting museums and gardens, reading, opera, listening to music such as classical and the "Celtic" genre, learning about various cultures, and playing a few computer games.
