We were 3 people staying at Julies and we had a big room with our own Bathroom. Julie gave us a key, which made it possible to come and go as we like. (Julie wants a keydeposit).
The area was nice and quite since it's in the middle of a neighborhood. There were several other guests but we didn't really run into eachother. The house is very big. We were able to use the kitchen and it was great to have a waterdispenser for free. There was also a nice pool and seats on the veranda.
Unfortunately, the address was not the correct one when we booked. It should be by now. It is a very good walk from the city and the train station. It takes 20min to get there. You see a bus once in a while, but better not rely on them, so you might as well walk. Strathfield itself is nice, you find a lot of Korean Shops and eatery there.
Taking a Taxi to Strathfield from the airport costs about 40-45 Dollars.
As other members posted before, Julie isn't easy to contact via email or Airbnb. I had to call her, so be prepared for that, if you have any important questions.
All in all, host and accomodation were good.
Julie was a good host, very helpful - just need to negotiate check in times! The room and facilities were clean and other renters were nice. Well worth the investment, and would stay there again in future.
Clean facilities + friendly host + convenient location = Excellent value
You should definitely call Julie before coming to sort up the things. The address on the site was incorrect and Julie didnt get most of my messages sent through the airbnb site (don't know why though). I ended up walking to another location, not so far from the indicated in the information from the site.
The house is in a nice and quiet street. However, it isn't next to the train station. If you have car it's not a problem. If you plan to travel around by train, then be ready to take a 20 minutes walk to get there. The room is ok, nothing out of the common. The kitchen is in common use, that's great. There are free tea and coffee if you like.
Julie is a very nice, friendly and helpful person.
You can come and go in privacy. Clean and basic. A good idea to confirm check in time when booking
budget accommodation !
She was really nice and friendly. The room was really inviting and the bed was comfy.
