The negatives were minimal. The apartment is the first floor of an old home (reception hall, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom). The doorknob of the bathroom kept falling off, and some of the doors to the rooms would not remain shut when closed. The positives were many and greatly outweighed the negatives: 10-minute walk to subway (Red-Line, very important), quiet neighborhood, charming bathroom tub (with shower), excellent water pressure and hot water, charming lighting around the house, hard-wood floors, modern gas stove and refrigerator, nice color scheme on walls, access to washer-dryer in basement (allows you to pack less in suitcases for easy travel), lots of plants around the house, greenway behind home that leads to subway, temperature in apartment pre-set, roomy working kitchen with large pantry (we were there over thanksgiving and fed 7 people easily), lots of useful instructions posted around the house. One of my favorite aspects of the apartment was drinking tea each morning in the kitchen and looking out over the backyard and greenway. Keleigh was very responsive to our few questions by e-mail. We would stay there again.
Bel entroit, spacieux, au coeur de Someville.
La décoration est surprenante et sympa. Nous avons aimé.
Keleigh was excellent. She responded to requests and questions quickly. The check in process was easy and she left great instructions on the workings of this character filled apartment.
The reservation was canceled 192 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The listing was accurate, the neighborhood was very nice, and there were plenty of helpful notes around the apartment.
Keleigh described her wonderful place well and it exceeded my expectations! I'd definitely rent again.
We were visiting my brother in law at tufts university so this location was perfect and allowed us to walk everywhere. It's a unique stay in one of these older houses that line the street. The apartment was well decorated and had all the things you need - towels, soap, lotion, and plenty of leave behinds by others which I always think is nice when you need something in a pinch. Getting to the T is simple and there is plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great outdoor space with a trail right behind the house. My only issues with this stay is that we couldn't adjust the temperature in the house. There was a lock box on the thermostat and it was set at 60 for the heat which for Floridians is cold. The other issue is the host requires a lot of tasks at checkout which I normally do but I guess it was a bit much to ask for such a specific clean up. Felt a little less staying in someone's home and more like staying at grandmas house with lots of rules.
Keleigh's apartment is in a great location, convenient to everything in Cambridge and Sommerville. She was very professional about all aspects of the stay, making checking in and out a breeze, but also went out of her way to help make our stay more comfortable, sharing a beer with us and even putting us up a night early when we made a mistake with our arrival date. All in all, a fun, stylish and very affordable spot for the area.
I manage a team of sales reps who travel a lot. In Boston it’s hard to find hotels that fit our needs. Keleigh's place was perfect! My rep said, “This is a great place -- walking distance to the T, great restaurants, & several shops! The house was nice & tidy. I felt totally safe in the neighborhood while I was out & about. The only downside is that there’s no heat so it might get a little chilly. Also, if you’re a TV person bring a laptop & watch Netflix or DVDs as there’s no TV in the house. "
Thanks for the review! To clarify: there is certainly working heat in the apartment! - I do live in the Northeast ;) - it's just that the heat wasn't on for the month of September. Thanks again!
Super pleased with my stay here. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Check in and check out were incredibly easy and Keleigh was sweet and helpful through the whole experience. I highly recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Boston.
Keleigh was a delight. She and her dog Mammut were wonderful guests who have probably spoiled me for how this whole experience will be. Keleigh was very thoughtful, letting me know via a message that she'd gotten a later start than expected and telling me her new expected arrival time. Mammut was sweet as can be, well-mannered, and got along great with my tiny dog. They were both very neat and clean. Keleigh and Mammut are welcome here any time!
Keleigh was an absolute delight to have. This being my first airbnb experience probably spoiled me. She communicated without delay, kept me up to date on her time of arrival. She was a perfect guest as was her dog Mammut. Left the room spotless. Overall absolutely wonderful experience with Keleigh and Mammut (her dog). Would have her and her pooch as a guest again anytime.
I didnt get to spend much time with Kaleigh as her schedule was tight, but she and her sweet dog were perfect guests
Keleigh and Mamut were the cleanest dog guests I've ever had :) Keleigh is a wonderful spirit and i highly recommend her and her sweet, polite pup as a guest!
Keleigh and her sweet pooch were only here for one night. They were sweet, great communication, no trouble at all. Love to have them back!
Such awesome guests. Such lovely people. Great energy, great fun. Absolutely welcome any time. Was too short!! Highly recommended.
