I live and work in NYC teaching yoga and working as a Health Coach.
Terrific first airbnb experience! Maggie was a wonderful host and the apartment was exactly what we expected - great location, safe, clean and comfortable - at a fair price!
We really enjoyed staying in Maggie's apt on the UWS. The apt was very clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for us. Maggie was friendly and generous--offering her sleeping bag, yoga mat, and blankets so we could create a comfortable spot on the floor for our daughter to sleep. Our schedule kept changing as our check-in date approached and Maggie was very understanding and flexible regarding our check-in time. We didn't know we would need to feed the cats while staying in the apt, but it was simple enough to do and the cats were friendly. We recommend Maggie's place if you're looking for a cozy apt near Central Park.
Maggie's studio is very nice and the location is perfect (subway, central park, south Manhattan). Arrival was easy, thanks to a good communication with Maggie. We have spent a great time, cats are lovely and easy going. We recommand the place!
Amazing! Maggie makes your stay feel like you have a home in the city. Close to Trader Joes and the park feels like you're in a peaceful pocket of the NY. Great building. Awesome experience. Thanks Maggie!
We had a great time at Maggie's wonderful UWS apartment! Maggie was a perfect host - great communication, very friendly and welcoming (as are the cats, seriously!). The apartment itself was ideal for our four day break - lovely and close to Central Park, the Subway, cute shops and fab restaurants - we wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommended - thanks, Maggie!
This was my first AirBnB experience and it was a good one.
Maggie is very responsive by email and left very clear instructions in terms of getting in, what the ground rules were, and how to check out. She keeps the place neat and had clean towels out for my son and me. The bed can sleep two people and is quite comfortable. In this case, you are staying in someone's home, so the vibe is very different from a typical hotel stay.
The apartment is a short walk away from the 1,2, & 3 subway which was very convenient for us to get to midtown. It's also two avenue (long) blocks from Central Park, perfect if you are a runner or want to see some foliage. The neighborhood is lively and safe with the Calhoun School (3 yrs to 1st grade) two doors down. I wouldn't describe the street as quiet, especially if you are used to suburban life. Then again, this is Manhattan.
It's not too strong a statement to say that Maggie has two of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet. Milo and Bodhi are not bashful in the least. If they are there, they will sniff you and inspect your luggage the moment you walk in. Bodhi will want to snuggle. Milo will let you know when he's hungry. My son (now 8) talks about the cats more than our visit to the USS Intrepid.
We had a wonderful trip to NY! Maggie had the keys waiting for us with the doorman about a block away and we had no trouble getting them. Maggie's apartment was in the perfect location: great selection of restaurants, markets and awesome shopping all within walking distance. It was cozy, quiet and felt like we were at home in NY. The cats were very sweet and friendly and we enjoyed their company (and we have dogs!) Hospitable, comfortable and hassle free, I would definitely come back. Thanks Maggie!
